Following Potential 2026 Draftees

Dybantsa just dominated the best defense in cbb.
Ya AJ is consistently amazing (still leading the nation in scoring im sure, on great efficiency)

BYU sucks tho, geez

AJ last night:
28 points, 9-14 from the field, 3-4 from three, 4 assists.
Got to the line 12 times (only made 7 though). 1 turnover. 35 minutes

Looks like there is not a consensus pick like Wemby this year
It will go down to draft day
There could be 5 players or more good enough to be #1
Jazz must not lose their top 8 pick period

Arizona/Michigan are better defensively than Houston, but it has been nice watching AJs shot fall.

Trying to decide who I like most among the 2nd tier guys - Wagler the favorite currently.

I think Peterson is still the #1 guy unless he has real health concerns.
AJ Dybantsa is likely to go #2 because he fits the archetype that every team wants and he shows enough shooting touch to be able to put everything together.
Boozer should be #3 because he's good at everything. He's good enough to go #2, but he's not the player type that teams are used to building around.
Wilson is very likely #4, though it's possible some team will fall in love with him and take him ahead of Boozer. Wilson doesn't handle or shoot enough to be your #1 option at the current stage.
By the time the draft rolls around, Nate Ament might emerge as the #5 guy. He's not as exciting an athlete as some of the others, but he's versatile at 6'9" and can dribble, pass and shoot at an NBA level.

I have concerns about Flemings. I think he's going to measure out small in pre-draft--like close to 6'2" w/o shoes, and it could cause him to drop a few spots.
Wagler is clearly inside the top 10, maybe 6th or 7th when it's said and done, but NBA speed and physicality might be a challenge for him until he adapts. He's a different player if he can consistently get into the paint.

Disagree. Gonna have to not look completely outclassed by Peterson in another matchup.

The difference wasn’t negligible when they played, and Dybantsa played his same methodical early 00’s style.
Nah, NBA guys don’t put too much stock in a one game sample like that especially when they aren’t defending each other most of thethe time time.

They look at the big picture and take into account Peterson looking like crap against a crap Utah team while AJ dominates the best defense in cbb.

But mostly, if AJ takes and makes the three, you don’t take the short, injury prone guy over the elite length wing who plays every game. Unless you want to get fired.

I love AJ’a talent and production. I think he might become a player that’s not as impactful as his numbers may suggest at the next level. But who knows, he can always change his mentality.

He’s kind of like Jaylen Brown+. Which could be extremely good depending on your opinion of Jaylen Brown.
