Because it's not realistic. Remember, the Millers gave him an extension. They're not going to want to eat a contract. They'll make him rot just like Raja Bell. Best we could hope for is the Jazz have Hornacek coach the games and tell Ty to stay home.

My top 2 priorities:
1. Dump Marvin
2. Re-sign Carroll
I'd also be shopping Al, Mo, Raja, Jamaal and Earl (and putting feelers out about Millsap) in case someone's willing to bite. If the owners want to make the playoffs, I'd have to be a little more conservative about shopping Al.
I'd offer the max to Chris Paul in the offseason, trying to sell him on the youth/potential for growth (an extreme long-shot). Work on extensions for Gordo and Derrick.
