Following potential 2014 draftees

Kinda strange post... no one is pimping the harrisons in the lotto...

But you're wrong about both Harrisons. I wouldn't take either in lotto.. but they both have handles and shot.

a couple pages back I read a top5 and a 7-9. not going to look back now but yeah there be some jazzfanz that are pimping the harrisons in the lotto... Big surprise

Not sure who you're talking to Cy. But i agree about Harrison being 25ish.

Im only pimping his astonishing tourney run.

Amazing tourney run indeed. I may actually root for UK cuz I don't like Uconn at all.

All dis Harrison love got me nauseous though.

Can someone name an elite skill either Harrison possess?

Only thing I can think of is strength at position, but is being a strong 6'5 SG that big of an advantage?

aaron doesn't fold under pressure. i love his shooter's mentality. he knows it will go win. that confidence is contagious. it's a skillset you can't teach. and i like his stroke. joe johnson like.

andrew harrison actually has a very good handle. he can get to the rim at will, but both has flaws in finishing ability. i saw them miss alot of shots around the basket. but at least he can get to the rim. that last play happened with andrew harrison penetration.

they don't have elite skills. wiggins doesn't have elite skills. wiggins' elite skill would be his athleticism. but it doesn't mean they can develop an elite skill. what aaron has shown in last 3 game cannot be ignored. not 1, not 2, but 3 game winner. that's impressive.

Shooting. Smh.

That 36% 3pt shooting on the season, 43% from the field, is now considered elite?

He definitely has potential as a 3pt shooter though, I will give him that. Not going to call it elite.

And that is only Aaron. Andrew ain't got shooting at all.

36% isn't bad at all. 40% is considered elite.

Last year we all wanted Trey Burke to get bounced in the tourney early so his stock wouldn't rise that much, his range was 12-14 right where our pick was. After his tourney run there were discussions about Orlando picking him at #2 like seriously considering it. Wouldn't be surprised to see Aaron Harrison go in the lottery tbh. Randle is a top-7 lock for sure now though.

Ummm…what?

1) Randle was pretty much always a top-7 lock. Even I had him around that range, and I feel like I'm the biggest "hater" on Randle on this board.

2) Any team that takes the Harrison that hit the big shot in the lottery is absolutely moronic. I give him credit for hitting not one, not two, but three huge shots. That's impressive. Doesn't mean I'd take him in the lottery. You know what he did outside of hitting that shot tonight? He had 8 total points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists (and I believe both were lob dunks) and got to the line once. In a game where he should have been able to physically manhandle his opponent offensively and defensively, he failed to do so.

He's athletic in the same way that Harrison Barnes is athletic. Sure his numbers might test out well, but he sure as hell doesn't play athletic. In a game with several pro prospects, Aaron Harrison was one of the least impressive, outside of his big shot. For all of his size and apparent talents, he doesn't do anything special. I believe his brother is the actual PG, but Harrison with the big balls has an entire starting lineup full of NBA talent (and some bench players), and he can't average more than 2 assists per game? Ok…well then he must be a pretty good shooter. Oh, you mean he only shot 36% from 3? Well…he has good size!!!!

Look, it's awesome that he had a great tournament for Kentucky. I hope he has a great game on Monday. For as much as I dislike Kentucky, they've been fun to watch this tournament…every week they've had the best game. However, if success was measured by how players did in the tournament, then Gerry freaking McNamera should have gone in the first round after his freshman year too.

I would love for you to tell me why Harrison deserves to go in the lottery, who you would take him over, and why. Kthx.

i hate UK with passion. 6 mickey D's all american. not fair, not fair.

And no way aaron harrison drops below top 15. no way. just watch.

Tell me where I said he should go in the lottery? I'm saying don't be surprised when he does.

smart shot .290% and .299% from 3. and harrison barnes was picked #7.

these twins are projects. they are not a finished product. and it's hard to score a lot for this kentucky team. balls move a lot and everybody is so talented. and you are underrating badgers D.

oh by the way, kaminsky was wide open, i mean wide open under the basket. jackson should've passed. choker daddy, choker son

36% is considered average. 40% is considered above-average.

There were over 100 players in college who shot above 42.7% from 3 this year, with a minimum of a little over 2 shots a game. 40% from deep in college is not elite, unless if you're shooting a lot while being covered a lot (JJ Redick, Salim Stoudamire, etc).
