Following potential 2014 draftees

Anybody who followed college basketball knew who Gordon Hayward was.

Again, what skills does the Harrison twin with the big balls have that make him a lottery talent? Average shooting? Average size for a SG? Below-average defense? Below-average ability to create? Below-average rebounding?

I'd take him in the 20's because he's young and could/should improve, but he's not anything close to a lottery talent IMO.

debatable

i saw a very good defensive effort throughout the tourney. they hustled, rotated very well, helped each other, and looked very confident doing it. there were few blown assignments. still very raw, but i really wouldn't call them a below avg defender. i did see couple of stupid mistakes by them. well they are freshman. mistakes happen.

Ummm…what?

1) Randle was pretty much always a top-7 lock. Even I had him around that range, and I feel like I'm the biggest "hater" on Randle on this board.

2) Any team that takes the Harrison that hit the big shot in the lottery is absolutely moronic. I give him credit for hitting not one, not two, but three huge shots. That's impressive. Doesn't mean I'd take him in the lottery. You know what he did outside of hitting that shot tonight? He had 8 total points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists (and I believe both were lob dunks) and got to the line once. In a game where he should have been able to physically manhandle his opponent offensively and defensively, he failed to do so.

He's athletic in the same way that Harrison Barnes is athletic. Sure his numbers might test out well, but he sure as hell doesn't play athletic. In a game with several pro prospects, Aaron Harrison was one of the least impressive, outside of his big shot. For all of his size and apparent talents, he doesn't do anything special. I believe his brother is the actual PG, but Harrison with the big balls has an entire starting lineup full of NBA talent (and some bench players), and he can't average more than 2 assists per game? Ok…well then he must be a pretty good shooter. Oh, you mean he only shot 36% from 3? Well…he has good size!!!!

Look, it's awesome that he had a great tournament for Kentucky. I hope he has a great game on Monday. For as much as I dislike Kentucky, they've been fun to watch this tournament…every week they've had the best game. However, if success was measured by how players did in the tournament, then Gerry freaking McNamera should have gone in the first round after his freshman year too.

I would love for you to tell me why Harrison deserves to go in the lottery, who you would take him over, and why. Kthx.

That's a mans post right thurr.

Lottery ends at 14 and you say 20's not that far away. A good championship game, a good combine, one or two good workouts and he's there. Average size for a shooting guard, better than average shooting.

Agree to disagree.

We'll just leave it at that.

Dudes in the 20's I would take over either Harrison:

Lavine
McDaniels
PJ Hairston
Jerami Grant
Adrein Payne
Rodney Hood
Jordan Adams
James Young
Cleanthony Early
Elfrid Payton
Deonte Burton
Glenn Robinson
Patric Young

*Didn't name players in DX mockdraft that went 1-19*

At least somebody can put down some names.

You may be wrong, but at least you own up to it.

/you're probably not wrong on most of these

Bolded the ones I agree with.

That worked well for Wisconsin tonight.

Yup, they nearly beat a much more talented team that had a significant size advantage.

Would do that strategy 10/10 of times. It was dumb on the last possession though. Can't take that risk that late in the game only up 2.

Certainly your opinion , but Jesus Christ...smh.

put smart in this UK team as a freshman, he won't look like marcus smart. caliapari may draft bunch of 5 stars, but he forces them to play team ball. it's hard to get a shiny stat when you play for caliapari. few iso ball fail? hit the bench asap.

and i'm only talking about the ceiling. ceiling is higher when there isn't much to dissect. smart to me is a complete player. i know what he can do. his ceiling isn't that high. he will be a good pro, but i don't see him being franchise chaning player. not at all.

Teenage girls like Rick Pitino?

More power to him, tbh.

Oh, and your anger is resulting in typos. You should work on that, rook.

*Is what. Anger? Lmao you think I am getting butt hurt over some old dude who can't play basketball so he criticizes Aaron Harrison for shooting 36%. Laughable tbh.

Didn't work on Young, but the Harrisons shot 7/22 tonight…hard to argue with those results.

If you add in Young, all three of them combined to go 12/33, which was 36%. Hard to argue with those results, especially when you consider Kentucky shot 50% as a team tonight.

Yes you can. If you already hit two game winners before.

Take out Andrew Harrison. Nobody said he was a good shooter.
