Did not realize Markkanen and Vanderbilt were going to be this good. Puts the jazz in an interesting position but a good one. We got some real pieces already.the rebuild won’t be a long one if we can get a blue-chipper player in the draft.
Tanking hard for the number one pick is both the only way to get it, and the only path for the jazz to be a championship team. Thank god Danny is here, and this franchise is finally willing to stop being “competitive” and go for the real thing.
I really hope they don’t trade him to the heat, just because the entitled Miami fans who have acted like that was destiny will be vindicated. Also I think their package sucks. Their picks are worthless. We can do much better than that, or I’d rather keep him for another season just for...
Reading between the line (they have been trying to trade Mitchell the whole time, as we all knew), I think this means a deal is close. And I think it’ll likely being up the knicks. Would rather have knick picks than heat picks for sure.
I think there’s an unfortunate element of the fanbase that finds him, basically, Uppity. The hate he’s received for no reason has been pretty revealing. And I think it’s a major problem going forward. Going to be tough to ever have a star player here if this is how the fanbase is going to act.
Look strip this never ending argument between the gobert and Mitchell people down to brass tI think it’s just too far to blame Mitchell for the Gobert trade. I really don’t think he’s why it had to happen. I think they were both trying but after the Clippers series, they and the entire franchise...
Textbook example of the loser mindset that afflicts this fanbase. The reason you guys hate and blame Mitchell for everything is because you don’t think he will stay. You knew Gobert would stay, so you loved him. It didn’t matter that “The Gobert Effect” doesn’t translate to the post-season, you...
If you don’t think Mitchell is good enough to build around, that’s valid. Don’t think he could be the best player on a championship team? Valid. I probably don’t either. But the rumors and blaming everything in him has gotten totally out of hand. I understand people really loved Gobert, but...
Ask yourself what Mitchell trades exist out there right now. The Knicks just signed Brunson, and so at least at the moment I don’t think would be willing to make a stupid desperate trade for Mitchell. Ainge wants the stupid, desperate trade. That’s what he’s looking for. An offer definitely...
I don’t think this is the time we would get max value out of Donovan. The Kevin Durant mess has put everything at a standstill, and I don’t think the market is maxed out. I think if we wait, a massive godfather offer will come. Ainge knows. Ainge’s strength is his patience. The moment will come...
Fair point. I guess it depends on if they could get an elite wing to pair with Mitchell. If they could, adding Ayton could make the jazz competitive. But if they can’t get that other piece I’d rather we just be bad and hold onto assets.
That’s a good point, but if they got the offer they want I don’t think they’d let the all star game stop them from doing it. But I don’t think they are going to trade just to trade him, at least not this year.
I think we will end up moving Don eventually, but I don’t think it’ll be this summer. Probably will happen early to mid season. Danny has what he wants for Don in mind, and his strength as a GM is that he’s patient enough to wait for it to come to him.
Please no Ayton. Let’s not go from paying one max center to another. We are free, and we got four first round picks for our trouble. Let’s look ahead and modernize this team.
He really never got them right and they all spiraled to this upcoming rebuild. Drafting Mitchell and Gobert makes up for a lot… but he bungled Hayward’s extension so badly he left for nothing in free agency (the same summer we drafted Mitchell…if he had stayed one more year he might have been...
