Furkan Korkmaz (PHI) is breaking out. He was a free agent last summer, could have been signed to a minimum contract FFS, at the age of 21.
I and @LoPo brought up this kid's name here many, many times. oh well... on to the next one
Dude is posting 20 PER on basically his first season. Bigs' developments take time. No one knows how good he'll end up becoming but he's off to a good start.
Noel would be a good backup C, yes. However I'm impressed with Tony Bradley and want him to keep getting minutes. Part of his problems are about playing alongside hideous defenders like Niang. Also Mudiay has been good and should be considered a long term piece especially if Clarkson leaves a...
Problem isn't Conley but the roster construction and fatigue. He seems sharp and quick. Starters are gassed because of having played heavy minutes.
Perhaps DL was expecting Coach Q to utilize one of Brantley and Oni.
I woke up and started watching the Denver game on TNT and they repeatedly called Gobert "first time all-star" with no mention of Don at all that I thought Don was snubbed. Now I am surprised and happy to find out Don made it too. :)
It's ESPN's RPM. I'm saying Grant has terrible impact, similar to of Jeff Green's in Utah, except he makes $8m more. Below def/off numbers illustrate my point better .
Rudy will make it for sure.
Don's chance is not 100%. There are tons of things in his favor. He's the leading scorer of an arguably top-5 team... likeable character, up and rising star, slam dunk champ etc..
On the other hand his advanced stats are not so good, particularly defensively. At the...
Terrence Davis (TOR) is impressive. He already is a solid rotation player and might even be a star some day. Masai did his thing again.
Davis went undrafted last season. Utah drafted three players in the R2 and passed on this gem.
Love's contract is toxic and doesn't fit Utah's timeline. Conley is here to stay and there is no use in contemplating any potential trades. His buddy Ed Davis however must be shipped asap for a bruiser.
They are not the same team that almost knocked out Durant's GSW any more, in fact they got much worse. Utah on the other hand has become a formidable team. I think they're afraid of a rematch if anything.
