It is a bad thing and is especially a bad thing for Ace IMO. It very much prevents him from getting good opportunities for himself and his teammates. There is a time and place to shoot tough shots, but his affinity for shooting them is way too much.
I don't fully disagree with the playoff...
BKN failed to get Yang = Losers
I'll to you what, I would be more in favor of doubling down over and over on passing and IQ than doubling down on offensive combo guards.
Like I said, I don't have anything for you. I'm not able to explain to you how the context is different for a starting PG on a 54 win team and a player on a 17 win tanking team. I can't teach you to broaden your scope beyond PPG and APG. You'll have to figure out how players can have beyond that...
If you truly think the only way to evaluate players is through that simple scope, I've got nothing for you. I thought we were in a place where our analysis went beyond that but I guess not.
The post where you once again evaluate Key in terms of PPG/APG and TS%? Yes I did. Key at 21 was not close to Jamal with better PG skills at 21. Stop it.
Unrelated to the podcast, but are gonna make the "ACE IS A SHOOTING GUARD" prophecy come true with a Ace/Hendricks/Lauri/Kessler starting lineup? Those four and a million short kings behind them.
Kangz already with buyers remorse on Lavine:

It's our time. Engaging with the dumb teams is one of the most important ways to get an advantage in this league.
Well, he is kinda stiff. Getting to the basket takes skill/ability. I don’t think it’s right to just assume he could get there if he wanted. But there’s no doubt in my mind that the biggest thing preventing him from getting there is his love of mid range. He really does remind me of the wing...
There is no idea....makes no sense. The Ingram/Barnes/Barrett trio is just hilarious and as much as I love IQ he's also not the PG you want there. Lauri would be so good for them.
It's just not something happens much. The good/bad thing about Ace is that you could just try to chalk it up to him being stupid. Like maybe he could get to the rim and FT line but preferred to chuck instead. But I wouldn't take stupidity as an encouraging sign.
I actually don't think he will be awful just because there's so many ways he could contribute. He has enough athleticism+size to contribute even if he can't play offense, but maybe his ego gets in the way of doing so. I feel like people see Ace as a giant boom or bust swing, but I see it a bit...
Would have made yesterday very exciting, but it's not the worst idea to have more future draft capital. I guess the deal would be Barrett+Filler (Boucher human trade exception makes the most sense IMO) + 4 firsts for Lauri? Think I would have to say yes to that.
The team who should be most down bad for Lauri is Raptors. They have no shooting and just drafted a great prospect who can't shoot. Let's say we get the equivalent package as Bane or close to it. Barett almost certainly coming back as the negative KCP salary. We saying yes?
I'd bet that they want to keep the runway open for Risacher to start and develop.....but Lauri is a great target for Trae. Think they would be a top 5 offense with Quin, Trae, and shooters.
