I don't think Lauri will be traded....but with the Tatum/Lillard/Hali injuries he SHOULD be traded to the East. This is such a great window for any East team.
We deserve more than that. ATL got one for moving down 10 spots. Trading DJM would open up lots of cap space for them. Dumars loves to build through FA. He's had a great track record of signing guys like Ben Gordon, Charlie Villanueva, and Josh Smith. They punted their cap space by trading for...
I talked a lot about Tre's poor's FT rate, but Ace's FTr was actually criminal. It's just another one of those things where you just look away and hope that his college play does not represent him as a player.....but this isn't one of those things that usually gets better. Wouldn't surprise me...
I know they love Fears and Queen...but how can you expect to make the playoffs with two rookies playing big minutes? I'd see if they're interested in something Sexton/Collins. Want to fleece them for picks and/or get Herb out of this.
Hard to compare eras. This draft was massively hyped but proved to be massively overrated. Did not think the quality of prospect in the 4-6 range was that strong in this draft. Ace isn't a special player for a #5 pick and I don't think this draft is special outside of 1-2.. Exum's was #5 in one...
Maybe that person go smoke screened as well. Sorry, I'm just not at all enthused by the million bigmikes that pop up during this time of year lol.
I would have for sure preferred Kon over Fears and probably Ace I think.
I feel bad for Fears because he was used as the smokescreen lol. The more belief the Wiz had in UTA taking Fears, the less motivated they would be to trade up to #4 for Ace. I wonder if they really thought UTA was going Fears.
TMac was good immediately. He didn't get many minutes, but even at 18 years old he was a good player. His BPM at age 19 was 4.1. Ridiculously good teenager.
Windy said there was talk that CHO was gonna swap with WAS so Ace could go 4.....but CHO got spooked that Kon wouldn't fall to 6. Seems like CHO thought we were going Kon.
Usually I'm not one to say these kind of things, but I do think we need to invest in a veteran that Ace respects and have them in the locker room. Even if it's just someone like Jeff Green or Joe Ingles.
At 18, the biggest concern should probably be getting an NBA level player of any kind. If the Jazz thought WCJ was the best bet, I'd understand it. He was 12th on my board, but a big part of WCJ's case is the certainty of his skillset and ability to contribute right away. Don't think that has...
I've seen this comparison before and it makes a lot of sense to me. One advantage that Lewis had during his career is that he was on the cutting edge in terms of shooting 3's. He also got to the line a decent amount making him a Moreyball player before that was a thing. Ace is on the opposite...
Honestly, the place to look for trades is simply looking at the worst contracts. Hard to find teams who will actually want our players. Maybe we trade for Dejounte Murray? I’m not sure that Dumars knows what an unprotected pick is.
No guarantee he actually turns into Pritchard, but that would be the goal. Pritchard is an analytics god. Could be due for a massive season with Tatum out.
