I have a feeling we fans will have to deal with up and down games from Neto in the shooting dept. As long as he plays good D, and doesn't turn it over then I will be happy. I don't care if he is a bad shooter. As long as he isn't a chucker that is.
Ingles just made an entry pass that basketball players are taught to never make when they are 12. Obviously the Blazers easily intercepted the pass. He is not an NBA player. If he continues to get significant playing time when the regular season starts I will be shocked. I would never wish an...
I cannot wait for the regular season to start. No need to play Hood/Burks/Burke more than 15 mpg the remainder of the PRESEASON. If the Jazz can stay fully healthy I have a feeling every game will be a fun one to watch. The most interesting thing to me will be seeing how Coach Snyder uses Lyles...
He isn't anywhere strong or athletic enough to compete in the NBA. I really don't know what the front office saw to feel the need to bring him over, let alone keep him over Cooley.
Boone has been pretty cringeworthy the last couple years as he's gotten older just tripping over his words and offering little-to-no insight. Boler made a reference during the game last night about the Jazz, clearly setting Boone up to expand upon the point but good ole' Booner responded by just...
Don't panic. I think Lyles will be huge in that regard. I don't know why he didn't play much tonight. My guess is Quin is just experimenting a lot. I fully expect Lyles to be much improved by the season's end so even if the Jazz struggle big time against small-ball lineups, it won't be for long.
In what part of my post did I remotely infer I wanted to trade GM's. In fact, I explicitly stated that "He's made far many great moves, and I'm on his side for sure".
I guess reading comprehension is piss poor in this Jazz community.
I am very excited for the Jazz this season and expect to be in the playoffs, and Lindsey's moves are a major reason why.
BUT
For all the great moves he has made, there are a few that are so bad and really stick out to me. The first gaffe was letting Millsap and Al Jefferson walk for...
I think if there's one thing every Jazz fan can agree on it's that we need to be better at the PG position.
As for the depth, Hood & Lyles and maybe even Neto/Burke (assuming we had a starting PG) would be a solid core off the bench. Ingles and Pleiss are both not NBA players. Millsap is a 15th...
Devin Booker doesn't play any defense. Hood scored on him easily when he attacked him. Ball didn't touch Hayward's hands when Booker was on him for a couple possessions. I would have liked to see the Jazz attack him more when he was in. The offense just looked like crap tonight. But that's what...
I disagree with your characterization of his role, respectfully. Specifically with "decent" attached to back-up. Festus Ezeli is a decent back up. I think the Jazz will begin the regular season with Withey or Cooley as the backup center.
What about his game leads you to say that? Perhaps after a year with an NBA strength and conditioning program he will look different. He's too slow and physically weak to make up for his lack of athleticism.
