My last hunch is that it's a smokescreen. Just... seems very unlike this Jazz FO to have the pick leaked like... 3 days before the draft. This just looks so much like something they would say if they wanted to convince the teams behind us that they don't need to worry and don't need to try to...
Neither the Jazz FO, nor the Celtics FO(young Ainge's recent team) seem to be particularly leaky so... I actually think for the Fears thing to actually become a ... thing 2-3 days before the draft I feel like this must be a smokescreen. We are probably trying to convince a team behind us that...
I have a weird thing with Kas. I watch him and I love a lot of what I see. I love how he plays the game. He is the guy who's lower on my board that I think has relatively high chance to make me look foolish for not having him much higher. But I just can't shake that feeling that a lot of what...
- poor finisher
- low FG%
- poor 3p shooter
- poor defender
- poor decision making
- small
Still more efficient scorer, twice as high AST% than offensive marvel Tre Johnson. And for a "small" guard still 50% higher stocks than great sized, long +6" wingspan Tre Johnson.
For the record, this...
In general Collier has impressed me with his attitude so far. It's never great to have someone drafted over you high in the draft, but I think he will continue to be a pro and fight for his spot just like he did when he started behind Keyonte and took his spot in the starting lineup by the end...
I still can't believe Okobo didn't pan out. He looked better in France than any other prospect in the last... I don't know how many years... he was dropping like... 44 against Euroleague teams in the playoffs at 19 years old...
Some people suffer from severe failure of imagination when it comes to predicting best and worst case scenarios. How is Jabari Smith (starter on a playoff team and still young and improving) the worst case scenario for Ace? Why is someone like ... Cam Reddish not a worst case scenario? Or Zaire...
Honestly... I think the same. His two big swings in the last decade have been on big long versatile wings and he offered 4 firsts to go get another supposed big long versatile wing. I think Ace is probably the only one that fits that description somewhat.
There used to be time when we were able to guess who the Jazz are targetting purely based on the way Locke was covering them and who he was pushing before the draft. Since DL has been gone, this has not been the case... but... who knows? Maybe he got his sources talking again?
My last board before the draft. Again disclaimer - I have seen very limited film(more like highlights of a lot of the players outside the lottery range) so take with a pinch of salt.
