Elaborate. Since not many guys make the HOF it would be difficult to trade lots of future HOF players. I think the Harden trade for sure, though I am not sure how they avoid that one wit the cap space - which was not our issue at all.

A whole bunch is chance and luck on multiple levels. I think it is a bit humorous that every year when a team wins the title the idea of them as a blueprint comes out. There are lots of ways to get there. One of them is not trading away future HOF players.

I have had a different experience. I have lived in 5 other NBA cities and traveled to most of the other NBA cities and I find the note very recognizable, at least to basketball fans.

The note was one of the best logo's in all of professional sports. Sad to see it take a back seat.

He was the quintessential blue collar guy who gave it everything when was on the floor and always in the fray on defense and rebounding. Every team could use a guy like him for 12 minutes a night.

JC was incredibly fun, and sometimes frustrating, when we were relevant. Fond memories of him as a Jazzman but also glad he is moving on - and I wish him well. Seems he had a miserable year because of our need to win every trade.

I have been advocating that trying to win every trade makes no sense given where we are at. That being said, I still disagree with this one. There are some guys I would absolutely dump but Sexton is a guy I would keep around unless you get something real in return.

I would say, as a teenager, it is a successful season if he hits double figures. I am not convinced he starts from day 1 but that depends upon who else is around. And I think there will still be plenty of others competing for shots.

My guess is that Ace has plenty of ways to make money over the next 12 months if it comes down to that. At 18 what he makes the next few years is not the issue.

Drafting him based upon what his camp had said was a high risk high reward move. IF you believe he is the best talent, you take the risk and hope he shows up. What you also hope for is that it stays quiet enough that we dont have to fire sale him before he ever plays.
