    How bad/good is Cody Williams?

    Good point.

    How bad/good is Cody Williams?

I wasn't being that serious, but I did find this picture from a year ago if someone wants to try and compare.

    How bad/good is Cody Williams?

Looks like Cody has been working hard on arm day, but still skipping leg day.

That's fine. I'm not saying I want to trade him.

    2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

I'm more open to trading Lauri after drafting Ace than I was before. Specially I wanted Lauri around if we drafted a point guard since I thought it would be good for their development if they could play with an elite play finisher like Lauri.

Utah Jazz Select Walter Clayton Jr, Pick 18 (Trade)

Keyonte, in my opinion. Keyonte had an ast% of 27.2% and an ast/to ratio of 2.06. I think that Keyonte is a good passer/has good vision, but he just needs to learn how to get the offense going earlier/look to pass a little more. He's also still a little younger than WCJ, so potentially has...

Utah Jazz Select Walter Clayton Jr, Pick 18 (Trade)

The reason why it's difficult to project him as a starting point guard is because he isn't a natural play maker. He made huge strides in play making this year at Florida and still only had a 23% ast%. Also his 1.7ast/to ratio isn't bad, but it's not great for a senior point guard. Also, just...

    2025 Free Agency Thread

How good would this team have been this year in the West: Holliday, WCJ, Ingram, Lauri, Turner Collier, Sexton, Ace, Hendricks, Kessler

Toronto should have gotten in on Miles Turner. I'm guessing he didn't want to go there, but Turner/CMB would be a really nice front court. Turner/CMB/Barnes/Ingram/Quickley starts to make some sense to me.

It feels like the Jazz could have got in this deal somehow to avoid the wave and stretch...

    2025 Free Agency Thread

There needs to be a way to discourage one year tanking/picking up a top draft pick when your star player gets hurt. The top draft picks should be for rebuilding teams/teams without stars. There have been proposals around winning percentages for several years being considered for lottery...

Maybe they try and do a one year tank. Kind of feels like Boston might try the same thing.

    2025 Free Agency Thread

I still don't quite understand the math and what the full deal is, but this is completely unexpected. I don't see how a contending team can live with 20+ million in dead money? Turner is a great fit for MIL though...

    Clarkson finalizing buyout with Jazz

I'm not sure what you mean by "they", but almost every other player in the NBA has the complete opposite breakdown than Clarkson. Most players make a significantly higher percentage of shots when open vs guarded.

    Clarkson finalizing buyout with Jazz

Clarkson is just such a unique player. He's the guy you want to take a shot at the end of the shot clock, but not the guy you want taking a shot otherwise. I posted this in another thread, but will post again: Jordan Clarkson has the 3rd best 3pt % in the league when not open at 39.1%, but...

2025 All time Utah Jazz draft signup

I kind of agree, but I don't think that most people feel similarly. The voting threads are most often 5 posts long (no discussion) and by the end of the voting there are often less votes than participants in the draft.

2025 All time Utah Jazz draft signup

I know what the idea is, but I don't think many voters really think about it enough to consider matchups. It used to be that most participants would do writeups to talk through matchups, but that rarely happens anymore. I think most people who participate in these things just like the draft...

2025 All time Utah Jazz draft signup

I won't be participating, but would be happy to do a random selection of draft order for you. Since I'm not participating, I know it's not worth much, but I would recommend just doing a poll with all the teams to select the winner (this goes for all the drafts we do). I think people get tired...

    How bad/good is Cody Williams?

FWIW, I think it's wise to have very low expectations for Cody in Summer League. He's most likely just barely recovered from Mono and it looks like he is in the middle of reworking his shot. He could definitely look worse than last year, which would be discouraging, but understandable. The...
