In 20 years, we could be seeing Ace on a podcast or whatever equivalent media, chopping it up with other retired players, and lamenting that he wishes he would’ve had anyone challenge and push him.

If he’s gonna suck at processing the game at NBA speed and is gonna be devoted to a terrible shot profile, he should care a lot about how early he is drafted cuz his success is far from guaranteed and he should care a lot about making the best money he can right now.

I’m kinda automatically out on anyone that hasn’t demonstrated any of the following at the college level: -above average defense -exceptional shooting (has to be efficient or at least good at difficult shots) -activity stats -some weirdo outlier with a singular/magic combination of attributes...

So the conversation of what we can do with ‘26 cap space is an important one, and the only free agent worth pursuing is gonna be Austin Reeves. I wish someone would’ve had the foresight to suggest over and over and over that throwing the “max” at Reeves when he was last a free agent was better...

Murphy is 24, so he would be exactly in the middle between Lauri and Harper age-wise.

And Maluach? I also doubt Sorber will be there at 21 but it’s possible.

A lotta smoke going on. Whether it’s a fire or a screen remains to be seen. Could be as simple as leverage in an extension negotiation with Kessler or it could be more.
