Jackpotting Around - The Great Walker Kessler Debate

IHart definitely fits the bill of who Hardy prefers as a C offensively. He'd rather have his C playmake and do dribble handoff stuff at the elbows rather than be a roll/cut kind of guy. I think IHart fantastic player and one I'd love to have on the Jazz. If he's who they want (or someone similar...

I wonder if they have eyes for Hartenstein.

Man I won’t forgive HH for putting the idea of Keon Ellis in my head.

Jackpotting Around - The Great Walker Kessler Debate

He might be....on paper he's a lot better than Braun. If we could unite the analytics gods (Eason and Ellis) we might be onto something. Reality is we're probably shooting for guys like Ivey and Mathurin.

Jackpotting Around - The Great Walker Kessler Debate

He might be a better player than Braun tbh....but since nothing good happens for us he will be a part of the inevitable Kuminga midseason trade.

Jackpotting Around - The Great Walker Kessler Debate

The RFA I'd be looking to sign if he doesn't get an extension is Tari Eason. Not sure if he was mentioned, but I think he's more obtainable than Braun for sure.

Jackpotting Around - The Great Walker Kessler Debate

The Nuggets trade for Cam Johnson was incredibly clutch because it gave them a ton of money to fill out the roster this year + sign Braun in the futre. If MPJ was still there, you could make the Nuggets sweat and maybe push them over the second apron. You would pretty much need to max Braun to...

Jackpotting Around - The Great Walker Kessler Debate

Nuggets should have plenty of space to sign Braun and stay under second apron.

    Nurkic/Kuminga Trade Proposals Thread

Don't think we have the right stuff for Kuminga. They'll want a vet who can help them win (who also needs to be paid less than JK). I'm ok taking a flier on him, but it would have to be some kind of 3 teamer where we trade a bad pick or something. I don't think JK will work out, but I think...

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

I don't think VJ will have the same success as Don, but I think he will have a similar path in the sense that he was a lauded defensive prospect coming in who wasn't necessarily high usage....but in the NBA he flips the scripts and becomes more of a "chucker" who doesn't play as much defense...

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Not the NBA, I don’t care. The WNBA playoffs has been great with a crazy OT finish to end a series. No CC, still great competition. But unfortunately the WNBA is about to go into work stoppage after the year and I do not believe in the league’s leadership. The WNBA cannot get out of their own...

Utah Jazz Media Day (live stream)

I think the Warriors have fumbled the JK situation (and are just doing him wrong)....but at least they are in a position to play hardball. He's played poorly and he has no market. Kessler played well and many teams will have space to make a move. And as as always, got to remember these are human...

Utah Jazz Media Day (live stream)

My biggest takeaway from media day is that I don’t think the Jazz see Walker Kessler as a big part of their future.

If the Jazz are better than expected it's because...

Well, I’d say we’re going to win more than the O/U suggests, but my answer to this is different. I’m a strong believer that it’s depth that wins in the regular season. So if we win more than expected (or a lot more than O/U) it’s because we have lots of small improvements across the roster vs...

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

NSJ was one of those prospects where people went, “NCAA spacing is bad, wait til he gets to the league”. He barely got to the rim and FT line in college, turns out the NBA is even harder. He’s a late first round pick, so hard to call him a bust. But just another example of how guys actually...

    Mo Bamba signs

The return! I don't mind it. I thought we needed another C prospect on the team, I'm guessing we'll have minutes down the road somewhere and likely after we buyout/trade Nurk. Hard to call Bamba a prospect at age 27, but if you can get him to give effort maybe he turns his career around. It's...
