I think the shooting #'s will come as he learns to get his shot off at the NBA level. I suppose there's no guarantee there but that was perhaps his greatest strength at the college level.

Kon Knueppel over Ace will never not be funny. I think we'll say the same about VJ some day but we'll see.

The KD comparisons are bonkers, KD was in his own God-tier as a prospect, IMO. But Ace may just be one notch below. Really rare skillet there. I can semi-understand how a GM would take VJ or Kon ahead of him, but man, certainly good fortune he was there for us at 5.

That's a fair point. I just have a hard time attributing value to an unprotected pick owned by the LA's, Philly's, NY's of the world. These teams can generally maneuver and spend out the *** to not be terrible, which they're incentivized to do when they don't own their pick. Never know, of...

Lauri's future value is considerably higher than Paul George's at this point in their career. Taking on PG's contract for a single FRP is simply not worth it. Can't imagine that's the deal that gets struck, if indeed there is one.

This one feels pretty clear cut. We know we will suck, the question is, do we have anyone we'd like to build around / carry forward in a future core.

I look at it as we "paid" to dump Sexton + had to take $ back to get to the salary floor. But why we were the team that had to add the pick is interesting to me.
