Scouting Next Opponent — the Knicks

RJ Barrett is an All Star only in his own head. He really believes he is all star material. He still holds a grudge because he didn’t make the all rookie team. He was benched last night while young OKC players Gilgeous Alexander and Giddy beat the holy hell out of us. Benched against OKC...

Scouting Next Opponent — the Knicks

Jazz next opponent is the Knicks, so I decided to watch some Knick games. I’ve watched every game for the past twenty five years, so that makes me an expert on this team. I also studied the Jazz. Here’s my scouting report for Tuesday night’s huge game. JAZZ: 1. A team that let all their stars...

Lauri Markkanen Hype & Appreciation Thread

Markkanen is something else. And just think, if you made the deal with us you would have had not Lauri, but….wait for it…Quentin Grimes.

Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

SNY is SportsNet New York cable channel. It is owned and run by the NY Mets. There is no basketball or any other sport shown on it. Just the Mets. Actually, being a Mets network would provide some good info on Mitchell.

Name a player that wouldve won Stockton & Malone rings.

It may just come down to how much we see of a player. I saw Houston play often (yes, he was a top player, but when we see a lot of a player we also see the disappointments - John Starks is a better example of that), and I saw Hornacek sparingly (to me he always looked like a very good player, I...

Name a player that wouldve won Stockton & Malone rings.

You are correct, Hornacek in prime over Houston in his prime. We know you can't judge athletes at the time their careers intersected. Friggin' Trevor Berbick beat the Holy Hell out of Muhammad Ali. That ain't happening with those guys both in their prime years.

Name a player that wouldve won Stockton & Malone rings.

Houston will always be remembered in NY for that one play that beat the Heat in the playoffs. Unfortunately, Houston became part of Knicks management (assistant GM or something) and we kind of don't think much of those guys here in NY. And for what it's worth, I never compared the two directly...

Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

His ceiling would make the average guy bend over at the waist. He's a good player, but not ever going to be All-Star material. He plays D, he has a good shot (and not afraid to take it), good with the ball...he's simply a pretty good b-ball player in a league of insanely great b-ball players...

We almost got Curry, too. One draft pick away. He was ours. We are the best almost team in history.

Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

When your team was 100% guaranteed to get LeBron, Durant, Zion, Lillard, and others, you learn not to run out and buy a Knicks jersey of that guy.

Jazz and Knicks discussing Donovan Mitchell trade per Shams Charania and Tony Jones

You Jazz are really in the driver's seat over this deal. Not happening, yet. So, what do you think the sticking points are?

Hey, even if this happens, you know what else we'll miss? The playoffs next year.

We're going to miss Obi. He was beloved. He was a legend.

Well, we lost. However, I know Portland dressed up Lillard for the game. The Portland brass and coaching staff wanted to give him some Championship game experience. He was in. A ringer that went unnoticed.

    Summer League

Hey, you fools can laugh all you want. Bottom line is win or lose in tomorrow's championship game puts as the best or second-best team in the sport. And you Jazz fans should definitely be watching. Three of our starters -- Grimes, The Walls Of Jericho, and McBride -- are the likely guys to be...

Keels has shown not much thus far. But no joke, that Jericho Sims is really impressing all. He's young and his ceiling is very high. He's so good, he's already getting the rep as being... Jericho Sims is also interestingly odd. He just runs the court expressionless. After a highlight dunk, no...

Ho hum.....the Knicks won again. And we won by 30. We beat the Bulls...you know Jordan, Pippen, Phil and all that. We beat them by 30! Knicks are strong. Very strong. Jericho Sims is definitely the league MVP right now. This team is one for the ages:

Yes, it takes great strength and dignity to be a fan of a team that has given you nothing but horrendous draft picks, sexual harassment cases, and meaningful games ending in January. We Knicks fans display great dignity and great strength as fans. We are men. Even our women are men. I'd rather...
