Don't know if this has been discussed on the forum before, but it looks like Favors played in a Pro-Am in Atlanta. This is from his twitter on Jul 5:
@dfavors14 Derrick Favors
Can't wait to start playing this Pro am in Atlanta on Saturday #beastmode
anyone read anything on this?
what a game! the first half RSL really dominated i thought.. the second half RSL looked pretty bad though possession wise. the good news is that despite such a poor second half we still got a great result in the 2-2tie. I expect two halves of domination next leg. RSL always keeps strong...
would Jordan Hamilton be a good pick at 12? He is projected a little lower on draftexpress currently. anyone watched him? He and Burks both are intriguing from what I have read. Not sure who would be better of the two.
The problem with this draft is it has plenty of "intriguing" prospects to me...
The potential is amazing to think about. Both play great defense, both rebound, both are long, and both are athletic finishers. It will be interesting to see if Biyombo climbs/falls on the draft board after teams get a better look at him.
I like weaver. not a bad option at all as a back-up point/combo guard. he looked a little out of control at times vs. LA but that was probably due to first game jitters. i was impressed with him tonight.
Corbin needs to bring someone in to teach defense. the pick n roll D was really quite bad. the bigs get out of rebounding position because they always seem lost on D.
Big Al had a good game offensively. he loafed it down the court several times on D, however. Al's body still looks so doughy. maybe that's just his body type?.. Mailman needs to come in and whip him into shape.
Maybe I am missing the vision of this deal (if any) but it seems like the future draft picks attained aren't blowing anyone away. isn't next year's draft a weak one anyway? i really hope there is some follow up to this deal, because as is.....dang. i mean, why not include memo or have them...
i actually would want to watch that shot of Sloan sitting down, drawing up his last play. i remember thinking he looked kinda shaken as he pulled his clipboard out. had to be an emotional moment for him.
