That was awesome. Javi and Arturo's celebration was one of the more intimate ones we've seen this year. Can't wait 'til Wednesday. . .
 
MLS is the bottom of the priority list for Real, right? Any kind of international competition will come first?

Actually, MLS have been kick-*** in rescheduling RSL's games to allow them to focus on the CCL. This weekend's Phi Union game was postponed.

But Kreis has gone on record saying he wants all four cups this year. They can certainly do it, if they don't get big heads once CCL is done.
 
what a game! the first half RSL really dominated i thought.. the second half RSL looked pretty bad though possession wise. the good news is that despite such a poor second half we still got a great result in the 2-2tie. I expect two halves of domination next leg. RSL always keeps strong possession at home.
 
The 2 early subs were cocky enough, but did you see the interview with the Monterrey coach basically saying the game in Sandy will be a cake walk?
 
But as RSL starts to do well won't their players get farmed out? Is it possible to be a good international team and still be a good league team?

RSL is actually in a pretty good place as far as this is concerned. They don't really have any "superstars", but they are more-than-solid at each position. And the ones that are good enough to catch an eye or two internationally (Morales, Olave...) are old enough (30, 31) that they probably won't receive any significant international pressure. Beckerman turns 29...he might be somewhat of a target.

But it's a completely different story then say an LA or a NYRB who work hard to acquire stars and then build their teams around them.

The one I'm worried about actually is Coach Kreis. He's quickly become a leading candidate to take over as US Men's National coach.

I got my tickets right after RSL beat Saprissa to get into the finals. Who else will be in the Riot on wednesday? I'll be in the Supporters Section for this game, first time attending the game in this section. A perfect time for it, IMO.
