At what point would the pick be safe?

We most certainly won’t be if we convey the pick. Absolutely 1000%.

I’m sorry but this is silly and a significant red flag to me. Either he has a real medical problem or he is weak psychologically or something along those lines.

What should the FO do if we are 0.500 by January?

Once again, the Jazz ONLY get the best pick of all three teams’ IF the Jazz own pick is top-8. Which is a whole layer as to why ****ing around about this is so insane. There is a non-zero possibility the Jazz lose a top-4 pick from either of them, including and especially the scenario that...

What should the FO do if we are 0.500 by January?

Correct. Sitting SGA doesn’t seem to have ruined his development or caused a cancerous loser culture, either. Our organization is just run by cowards, whose cowardice is dragging out the number of years we end seasons desperately trying to lose games.

What should the FO do if we are 0.500 by January?

I’m confused by this comment. So what’s wrong with the Jazz tanking is they’re being weak-willed about it? Or?

The versatility question continues to reign supreme in my mind. Easy to slot AJ into a rotation without logjam questions and I’m not particularly concerned with his defensive ceiling (I’m somewhat worried about both with Boozer). I probably haven’t done enough research on Peterson but nothing...

    Keyonte George’s Star Ascension

He wouldn’t. But he’s 10x the defensive player.

    No Extension for Walker Kessler?

TLDR; regarding off. rebounding vs transition defense - it depends on the relative strengths of your personnel. If you naturally suck at offensive rebounding, probably shouldn’t lean into it.

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

He’s MAGA and has terrible perspectives. I don’t think Denver traded him just to get an upgrade on the court.

I probably am. Like 51/49. It’s not Keyonte shade to say that he isn’t and probably won’t be a plus defender and that Wallace’s role on a juggernaut suggests both that he plays a more winning game and that he could have much louder counting stats on a lesser team.

It was his only *bad* game this season, and he was sick. He has come a long way.

Wallace. The list isn’t long. I was elated he was there for the Jazz pick.

The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

If they can build a team that can just play net neutral when he’s off the floor (for 20+ minutes a game) they are a perennial contender. If they manage his minutes in a way that respects the outlier reality his freakish, impossible size, he can play for a long time. If they try to play him 36...

Yep. It is miserable. Your point? A lot of people are making the point that we didn’t necessarily have to win this close game with large contributions from veterans that will not be here when the Jazz are actually good.

    Kyle Whittingham Steps Down

This is pretty stunning (the timing, at least). Someone help me stop catastrophizing, cuz this looks pretty devastating to me. Update: I guess Whit has been on record wanting to end after one more good season. Sounds like Morgan Scalley has it all-but sewn-up.
