Assuming this is a genuine question, I will attempt to explain.
I haven't read much of Sarah Todd's stuff but I assume she has been critical of Keyonte. He is saying that she might be secretly upset/angry that Keyonte is playing well, because it would prove her previous opinion wrong. Something...
This is a strange line of thought. I can't imagine Will Hardy and the coaching staff sabotaging the defensive development of the team just to lose more games. What would that even look like? Are they withholding defensive tips and drills? Are they purposefully implementing a bad scheme? More...
The Jazz got down 20 early. Hardy probably thought we needed more offense than defense to catch up. But I do want to see Harkless with more minutes and more of a role. We just need more minutes to guys who can play defense.
Not to be all doom and gloom but the Jazz are getting roasted by a bunch of rookies. Hornets are playing Kalkbrenner, Kon, and Sion big minutes. LaMelo isn't even playing.
Don't want to take away from Key and his performance but it's misleading to say 29 points on 14 shots, the free throws also use possessions. 15 FTs is ~7 shots. 29 points on 21 possessions is still great but a bit more informative.
Guards getting boards is a good thing as they can push pace and catch the other team sleeping or just get into the offense faster. I don't see much downside to it.
Wasn't able to catch the game but it looks like everyone played great. Will have to find someplace to watch a replay of it. I have been down on Key but it's awesome that he is starting the season off on a good note. I am fully willing to eat crow if he wants to break out this season.
For those...
How is that going to work at all? I have no idea how I would construct lineups with these guys.
We should be trying to get Carter, Ellis, or Nique on the cheap. Its more guards but those guys would be worth it.
Defensive rebounding is tough to judge just because there are some outside factors that affect the ranking. If the other team is making all of its shots, then there are less opportunities to rebound. Also, we give up tons of 3s and missed 3 pointers bounce hard off the rim. Is it bad rebounding...
He is late on rotations sometimes but he's also kinda strong when guys try to bump him on drives and he has quick hands for steals. The type of guy who has tradeoffs defensively. The hope is the good points are enough to offset him giving up a bunch of 3s due to late rotations and lack of...
Liked how he has looked in preseason. Has been much more active, plays decent defense and I think he will get better as he builds confidence. Looks stronger but could probably put on more weight to help with being more physical. Let us see how this transfers to the regular season.
