I thought CP3 was the primary reason (besides obviously Harden) that the Rockets were a matchup nightmare for the Jazz since he was also an elite ISO player and he is one of the best guards in the league at knocking down those midrange Js that the Jazz give up. Was a perfect foil for when Harden...
That's literally the purpose of playing defense though lol, followed by if they're going to make a shot lets make sure it's not a high value shot (e.g. long 2s).
I think Livingston is washed and isn't an impact player come playoff time anymore - Warriors sure as hell could have used his boost during the playoffs and Finals in particular. He'd be another nice veteran presence on the bench if he wanted to come here however, but I think other teams would be...
It's not Riley's MO to stock up on 1sts while selling players anyway so I don't understand why he'd sell off Winslow for a worse player currently + a pick. He only moves Winslow if he can upgrade him or he needs to clear cap to sign a better FA.
idk I think the Celtics are going to have a strong bounce back season and play up to their potential, and if Oladipo comes back and gets back into form Indiana is seriously good too.
Kawhi and PG13 might be the closest thing to MJ/Pippen we've seen since the duo themselves on the defensive end, and they're more than capable offensive players with one being the Finals MVP and the other being on the same level as Giannis and Harden until his shoulder injury. Throw in Pat Bev...
His shot chart on nba.com says about 51.6% inside the restricted area, but to put that in perspective Exum finished at 47.5% in the same area and Mitchell finished 48.6% in the same area.
All 3 numbers are bad fwiw
The strangest thing about the recent surge of Exum hate is that the roster is tailor made to suit his strengths as a rotation player off the bench and people still want to dump him lol. I saw Cy bring this up in another thread and he's completely right. There's scoring options at the 1, 2 and 3...
I could see Mudiay getting spot minutes behind Mitchell at SG to allow Royce to play primarily as the backup 3/4 but I think Exum gets most of the minutes as the 3rd guard. At least in October, who knows what happens by January.
Exum was pretty **** for most of October and particularly in November before showing signs of his best basketball in his career during December/early Jan, and I say that as one of the chief investors of Exum Island. I fully expect him to do something similar again this year, just hopefully...
