Steve Cleveland (coached him) and PG have a good connection. Maybe that could help. Also Butler has some Utah ties.
Maybe we can have the washed up allstars join forces with team Ozempic (Lofton, Sensa) and Markkannen and we can have something.
In a bad draft there are bad choices even for a good GM. Prepare yourselves. I want to trade out if we don't win the lottery and even if we win I would consider trading it for a reasonable 2025.
Salaries for Minny will become too expensive if they keep winning. All their scrub players will want to get paid. So Conley being traded there is not the end of the world for the 2027 and 2029 picks.
Maybe but if the player has a quality that means quicker production it is something I would consider. But true long-term that is not always how to look at it. Anyway, in a bad draft I do elevate that kind of thinking "can I get an obvious return quickly?"
I think Topic will take time to level up. You can stop him with a great defender. He would be 2 years from being a good starter. You take him but with realistic expectations. Dil will be harder to stop and produces sooner irregardless of his size.
I imagine Trae but with more power. But yeah if the staff doesn't believe him then no. KG is streaky, great or bad - I just think Dil levels up quicker.
Dilingham is better. Sorry. I would even trade KG to get him.
KG + 29th pick + Minny's 2027 top 8 protected (or whatever it takes maybe a top 8 protected 2025) for 2024 2nd pick or wherever he would fall to.
Keep the 8th pick. Select Dilingham and Cody Williams and your backcourt has been...
Possibly. I guess it depends on the player we get back and who is available at 22 (Salaun). If we want to do a full tank next year and intentionally get worse then I would strongly consider it.
Sexton is too much of an X-factor and gets you too many unexpected wins.
Hmmm...would you do Sexton for the Phoenix package on draft night? I would.
Sexton + 31st pick for Phoenix's 22nd pick and an unprotected 2031.

Sounds like a common story to other great offensive players..he developed his body and this and this happened to his game. He may be injury proned though and too chill.
