    Memo traded to NJ

I'm just gonna have to stick my neck out there and appear as ignorant as I am on this particular matter, but can someone explain to me the details of a trade exception? I feel like I kind of get it, but don't really understand it fully. Thanks in advance for educating me. ;)

Who was a better PF Karl Malone or Paul Millsap?

A good piece of support for Millsap, but at the same time what about this game from Malone in the latter years of his career: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewAAQV7S6eM&feature=feedu Perfect from the field. 12-12. 10 Rebounds, 5 Assists, 30 points. 6-8 from the line. That's a...

Who was a better PF Karl Malone or Paul Millsap?

I agree with you, however this is a hugely unbalanced debate. Malone wins by a landslide. The first and only stop is to look at the stats: Millsap: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/millspa01.html Malone: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/malonka01.html...

    Lockout!!!

One thing is for sure, they're definitely going to swoop in and get my viewing this winter. Even if the NBA comes back for a shortened season, I'm getting bitter enough to just say **** it and not watch. At this point, the NBA is so far from being "about the game", it's pathetic.

    Lockout!!!

Sorry for anyone who works at ESA. There is so much dissatisfaction with the NBA already, this is just the icing on the cake and will definitely make fans lose interest in placing their money in a league that obviously doesn't give two ****s about them. Nice work, gentlemen.

Some random thoughts watching old jazz basketball games

Agreed 100%. I often wish I had every game they ever played together at my fingertips to watch. Those two were an incredible duo in basketball. Proud to be a Jazz fan simply because of those two.

Let's Fess Up, Who Said Which Dallas Player Sucked?

When in conversation about Dirk, I don't know how many times I've heard someone say "Yeah he's good, but he's ugly..." ... and your point being? that you have to be attractive to be good at basketball??

jazz to play preseason game against warriors

My guess is that they'll at least cancel the training camp date of October 1st (or is it the 3rd?) by end of next week.

R.E.M. breaks up after 31 years.

Agreed. However, I'd stretch it to Murmur and Monster.

R.E.M. breaks up after 31 years.

To each their own for sure. Alice In Chains and Soundgarden are amongst my favorite bands. Generally, I'd take them over R.E.M., but I personally do have a soft spot for R.E.M. Like you said, music is art, and in art... everyone will and can have a different taste. Nothing beats some...

R.E.M. breaks up after 31 years.

The albums post 1997 (and maybe a few years before depending on your taste) are certainly hit and miss. Their latest one released earlier this year actually wasn't bad by my standards... but nothing will ever compare to the likes of Murmur, Reckoning, Document, & Life's Rich Pageant.

R.E.M. breaks up after 31 years.

https://remhq.com/news_story.php?id=1446 A sad day for music, and truly the end of an era. They are amongst the greatest in my opinion. Their impact on music is undeniable. Their debut, Murmur, is still a very significant record. Am going to miss these guys making new music, and am...

    Al Jefferson 10-11 Season Mix

Al definitely does have some holes in his game. In my opinion, mostly on the defensive end. But, given some good coaching and hard work, I think Al is well intelligent enough to acknowledge and improve these holes and round himself out as a player. I hope he can do that during his stay in...

Karl Malone 34 points-21 rebounds vs Bulls 92

You and me both! THat video was great, I'd never seen that. Triple OT?!? Malone was incredible. Jordan ended up getting his revenge 5 and 6 years later. :(
