Slick Watts (1978)
Greg Ostertag (1996-2006)

Slick Watts was traded to the Jazz from the Sonics on January 4, 1978. In his half-season with the Jazz, Watts wore #14 and #00. I believe he started with #14 and ended with #00. Anyone know why he switched? Watts had 0 3PAs with the Jazz, which was largely due to the fact that the NBA hadn't adopted the 3-pointer yet. Watts was traded twice. In the trade that brought him to the Jazz, the Jazz traded a draft pick that was used by the Sonics to select Danny Vranes. The Jazz would later trade Watts for a pick used to select Danny Schayes. So you could say that Watts was involved in 00 trades that didn't involve a draft pick used to select someone named Danny.

Greg Ostertag was drafted by the Jazz with the 28th pick in the 1995 NBA draft. He wore #00 for the Jazz for his first 4 seasons, then switched to #39 when the Jazz signed Olden Polynice, who wore #0. More on Polynice later. Ostertag switched back to 00 for the 2001-02 season. In 10 of his 11 NBA seasons (and 9 out of his 10 with the Jazz) Ostertag had 00 3PFGs. In 6 seasons with the Jazz he had 00 3PAs.

In Ostertag's final NBA game (in his 2nd stint with the Jazz), Ostertag had 00 points, 00 FGAs, 00 assists, 00 steals, 00 turnovers, and went 00-2 on FTs. He did have 1 rebound and 1 block.

EDIT: Also, Ostertag played for 0 teams with a losing record. The Jazz picked up their 41st win in Ostertag's last game.

Olden Polynice signed with the Jazz as a free agent on August 27, 1999. In his second and final season with the Jazz, he had 0 3PFGs. Unfortunately, Polynice didn't have 0 cases where he was charged with impersonating a police officer. In fact, he didn't even have just 1. Yep, he had 2. Within a couple of months.

Enes Kanter was drafted by the Jazz with the 3rd pick in the 2011 NBA draft. In his lone season with the Jazz, Kanter started 0 games and had 0 3PFGs. He averaged 0.1 apg after getting 8 assists in 66 games. Hopefully he'll get some more assists this season.

I still expect a post in yesterday's thread about how PJ Carlesimo is the #1 Jazz betrayer.

Ah, media day. Awaiting the "Kanter is only 6'9" comments after showing him in an odd photo next to Jefferson.

6'9"?!?!?!

Look at him compared to these infants. He's really not much bigger than they are! I don't think Kanter is an inch taller than 6'.

In a game against Boston, Greg Ostertag was matched up against Eric Montross, who also wore 00. The fact both players wore the same number was mentioned by the play-by-play commentator, prompting the color commentator to interject, "Yeah, so if you add both players together, you still got nuthin'!"

That's a good one. I like commentators that have a sense of humor.
