#1 Pick to Utah?

If the pick is Jabari? Flippin' heck the Millers will do that deal. Imagine how may fetchin' Jabari jerseys will get sold. LDS Church may even allow a one-month tithing amnesty to purchase a Jabari jersey. If Parker lands in Utah, they won't be able to stock jerseys fast enough.

Maybe they do that deal. What if DL is thinking along the lines of Chad Ford and he wants Wiggins? You remember Larry nixing a chance to trade AK years ago. Will the Millers step in and do the same. I don't know if it as cut and dry that they would do it as you think it is. Maybe I am wrong.

Could even be a Friday casual day requirement at Church HQ to come attired in Jabari clothing. If Parker lands in Utah, they won't be able to stock jerseys fast enough.

HA HA. This is funny.

Yes, they may hesitate to do the deal for Wiggins. Wiggins is a "long-term" project. Everyone agrees Parker is more NBA-ready. Parker in Utah sells out EVERY Jazz game. He makes merchandise FLY off the shelves. He absolutely ENERGIZES a fan base that has become morose the last two years. Wiggins doesn't have the same effect. Maybe in 2-3 years he develops into the same type of scorer and the Jazz start to win > 50%. But even if the Jazz only improve from 25 to 35 wins with Parker next season, the team gets more publicity, sells more tickets and merchandise, etc.

And remember, I'm the one who has been saying Parker is over-rated. I still think Favors + Vonleh (my #5 favorite) would be too much. But at this point, the Embiid injury has changed EVERYTHING. It's likely Gordon, Randle, Smart and a damaged Embiid are the options at #5, not one of either Vonleh or Exum as before (I'm guessing Exum and Vonleh will be the 3/4 picks in some order). So the draft dynamics have changed.

LOL'd big time.

I rather get Wiggins but if the Jazz also want the 10 pick then I do the trade. I don't know if I would do it simply for Parker especially since another report is saying he weighed 254 and 11 body fat when he worked out for the Bucks. Now they might be making the numbers up but that is what is being reported. However, if I could Parker and Gordon or Vonleh then I do the deal.

We finally get Wiggins and you want to trade him out? Whaaaaa? The 3 pick keeps us from getting Parker or Wiggins and puts us in Exumville. No Thanks. I guess I'll live with Exum if he falls to us at 5, but I'm not blowing past Wiggins to get there. Chances are the guy you get at 10 is a good bench player. Exum and a good bench player aren't worth Wiggins. If you want another lottery pick, deal with Sacramento and give them salary relief. If we are losing Favors, we have money to burn! If we get Wiggins, even Hayward is expendable. The 8 pick will at least give you one of Vonleh, Smart, Gordon, Randall, or even Embiid. The 10 pick gets you McBuckets, maybe.

Then offer #35 and the #10 for #8. Again I said I would only do it if the Jazz had a chance to get Gordon which most likely won't happen even though many of the mocks have him at 10. There is a good chance that the Bucks take Exum if Embiid and Wiggins are off the board. So Philly is left with Exum or Vonleh instead of getting there own guy. Besides they have Noels who will be a rookie this year so they might be ok with basically giving away the 10 pick.

Just do a 3 way trade where the Jazz draft Wiggins, Bucks Draft Parker, Philly Drafts Exum. At that point, Jazz trade Wiggins and #23 for Parker and #10, Bucks trade Parker for Exum and #23, Philly trades Exum and #10 for Wiggins. Each team gets the player they truly want at the spot they think he should go.

Hoopshype has the the jazz are interested in Embiid at #1??? At #5 ok, but to lose favors or Kanter for the next Greg Oden... PASS

The big question is will the Millers allow DL to trade Favors? Remember when he was signed to the extension? All I heard from the Millers is why can't every player be like Favors and how can we keep Favor here for his career? Some of that might be lip service. I get the feeling that a lot of it is the truth. Will the Millers tell DL no if the opportunity is there?

In the CHad Ford David Locke podcast, Ford said Wiggins is an exceptional kid and thinks he would be more likely to stay with the Jazz over his career than Parker.

Let's let our core play at least one season with their new coach before we start trading them
