* Deron Williams came to the Zions Bank Center but didn’t feel well and went home. He is probable for tomorrow.
* CJ had his best practice of the year yesterday.
* Jerry Sloan is concerned how these guys are going to react when the games start. Jerry talks about how in the gym during the practice players are always willing to run the system correctly but how do will they react when the lights are on. Jerry’s point is attitudes change sometime when the games start.
* What Jerry is saying is that when the games start and the pressure is on most players will revert to what they are comfortable with or what they think will get them noticed by the other teams in the NBA. It will really interesting to see who is able to convert their game into the system.
* I go back to the scrimmage on Saturday when Earl Watson was running the break with Ryan Thompson on the left and Jeremy Evans trailing. The Jazz want Thompson to clear through so Evans can get a dunk and instead Thompson (possibly on the instruction of Watson) stopped at the three point line for a spot up three and then Evans wasn’t open when he flashed to the basket.
* The Jazz have not scrimmaged much because they are instituting the system so they could be a little rocky on Thursday night
* Jerry Sloan didn’t watch the Heat last night
* Sloan said Wesley Matthews is what you coach for.
* Al Jefferson admitted this is the hardest class he has ever taken, but says the support has made it ok.
* Al Jefferson can’t wait to see the fans in a playing setting. He continues to talk about the fan support and how amazing it is
* Jefferson went out of his way to talk about the support he is getting from the coaches and the players to assist him in the system and the franchise. This has relieved the pressure.
