12 Man Australian Squad Named

Ingles made the team and there are familiar names here: David Andersen, Cameron Bairstow, Aron Baynes, Andrew Bogut, Ryan Broekhoff, Matthew Dellavedova, Chris Goulding, Joe Ingles, Kevin Lisch, Damian Martin, Patrick Mills, Brock Motum.

Same bracket as US, Serbia, and France so they will need to beat out Venezuela and China to advance which they should do. Interesting to see if they ever get Simmons to play in the future. Bogut is TBD with his injury from the playoffs. It is a little ridiculous how easy it is for them to get to the Olympics. Just have to beat New Zealand. However, I think they are getting put in the Asian field shortly.

Simmons has already played for the Boomers and is very pro Australian national side.

Asian field stinks as well so true should not have any issues there. Hopefully Maker and Simmons will play for the Sr team but that is TBD. Look at Steven Adams for NZ.

It is a bit soft, same as in the soccer we have to go through asia to get into the world cup, much easier than in other parts of the world.

We just played 2 warm up games against the PAC 12 all stars .. Patty Mills is an absolute gun, way way better then Delly, and Ingles is a fantastic distributor but f&^* me if he doesn't keep doing the same thing of passing up decent looks to try to get something better, it's really irritating. Motum is a hack, seriously limited. Cameron Bairstow must have slept with someone to get a contract with Chicago. David Andersen is a very underrated player but most of them are hacks, can't see us getting very far.

Biggest surprised was to see that Baynes actually has a very nice mid range jumper, he hit it very consistently out to around 18 feet.
