Anyone else see what some clever Milwaukee fans have purchased?

Sacramento will be the only competition in the West. The East has so many lousy teams it's hard to say who will tank their way out of that mess. But both New York and Brooklyn have too many good players to finish bottom five, plus neither will get their first round pick so there's no incentive to tank. There's still Milwaukee, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Orlando, Detroit...

Don't have to worry about Cleveland and Detroit - they'll make a push for the playoffs.

That leaves MIL, PHIL and ORL.

I think Milwaukee is more likely to turn around than Cleveland tbh. Cleveland is healthy, but Bennett and Bynum are completely useless. They don't start Varejao with Thompson together as that leaves them short on inside scoring. Bynum does nothing defensively and their backcourt is highly dysfunctional with SF being a void spot where they play random guys. Sorry Cleveland but you'll be the most ridiculed franchise if you need a 3rd #1...
Tough stuff.
With Philly and Orlando I expect them to enter the trade market sooner than later. When they find a taker for their slightly overaged talent given what they wanna do who gives them an asset back they'll take it.
I'm really puzzled what Philly wants to do long term. Their 3 veterans are only 25/26 years old, wouldn't necessarily be a problem to be put around a young 19 year old star rook. But if you get other future valuable assets for them you pull the trigger obvi...

I agree. I would try to see if Cleveland wants to make a trade with the Jazz. They are tired of being in the lottery so they might go for it. Same with sacramento but they have new owners who seem too smart but maybe a trade featuring Favors or Kanter or Hayward might entice them into trading their pick. Jazz cannot afford to pay all three of these players so they would do best to trade one and get another asset cheap. Imagine if the Jazz pick Wiggins/Parker with their own pick and then had a chance at Embiid or Exum with the pick from Kings. The way the GS tankers are playing maybe that pick is lottery too.

Jazz draft Embiid and either Wiggins or Parker. If Embiid isn't available then you draft Exum or Smart.

With the GS pick you take Rodney Hood/James Young/one of the Harrison twins or BPA. This pick will be based upon who they got in 1st round. Ok I am done dreaming.. it was fun while it lasted.

Just a note. For all those critics who said I was stupid to think that GS wouldn't make the playoffs. Just look at the standings . They are ranked 12 in the West. Now I know it is early but my point was that GS was/is not a sure thing due to the West being competitive and the history of injuries that key players have, and their lack of depth. Thanks to OKC and Westbrook for beating them last night.

I would laugh my *** off if they missed the playoffs and then won the number one pick.

I always thought golden state was just an injury or two away from the lotto. Glad we got the pick. Now if it turns out to be a top three pick, well that would make Lindsay look like a super genius. And we would be set for a decade. Two superstars in one draft! That would be the only scenario in which I would be ok with someone bumping the jazz pick down in the lotto standings.
