If the Magic and the Jazz finish tied for the third-worst record, the winner of the random drawing could receive no worse than the sixth pick and would have the following probabilities, according to NBA officials:
• To receive the 1st overall pick: 13.80%.
• To receive the 2nd overall pick: 14.25%.
• To receive the 3rd overall pick: 14.55%.
• To receive the 4th overall pick: 23.85%.
• To receive the 5th overall pick: 29.03%.
• To receive the 6th overall pick: 4.52%.
If the Magic and the Jazz finish tied for the third-worst record, the loser of the random drawing could draft as low as seventh and would have the following probabilities, according to NBA officials:
• To receive the 1st overall pick: 13.70%.
• To receive the 2nd overall pick: 14.16%.
• To receive the 3rd overall pick: 14.49%.
• To receive the 4th overall pick: 8.51%.
• To receive the 5th overall pick: 32.37%.
• To receive the 6th overall pick: 15.51%.
• To receive the 7th overall pick: 1.25%.
If the Jazz finish 4th, which is where they currently are, their chances are as follows:
1st: 11.9%
2nd: 12.6%
3rd: 13.3%
4th: 9.9%
5th: 35.1%
6th: 16.0%
7th: 1.2%
