14th Tank Platoon

Cleveland with one of the most embarrassing losses ever. Losing at home to the Lakers who couldn't even field a full lineup in the 4th qtr. Had to play Sacre who had already fouled out, under penalty of a Technical foul for every Sacre foul. I'm afraid the Cavs are in worse shape than most any of us thought.

Lakers win, but they are such a mess with injuries I don't think it matters.

I don't think it's gonna be possible for us to out tank any of Milwaukee, Orlando, Philly, Boston, LA, or Cleveland. Hoping Sacramento keeps winning and Detroit doesn't join the tank race.

7th worst record would still give us an outside shot at moving in to the top 3.

Wait till after the deadline. Theres still plenty of hope!

Agree. Outside shot at moving up via the lottery and might have a chance at trading up to #5 if Lindsey really wants to by offering the GS pick. Have to think LA and Cleveland wouldn't mind a couple of 1st-rounders given their needs.

I haven't given up complete hope, though, on Boston, LA and Cleveland finishing with more wins. I look for the Cavs to make some changes before the deadline. Boston has Rondo and plays more EC teams than does Utah. And Kobe will come back and win a few for LA.

I don't think those things happen, but agreed, there is definitely a glimmer of hope with each of those three teams.

Looks like Utah well be back in the 4 slot after tonight with Sac picking up a win along with the Lakers winning.

Tune in again on Friday for the return of the tank:
Lakers @ 76ers, Kings @ Celtics, Nets @ Pistons

So happy Sacto won handily. Love them to gain some steam!

Well, if only one (or two) of them were to happen, we'd be sitting pretty at the #5/6 slot (if no one jumps ahead in the lottery). Provided Embiid and Parker both declare, that leaves Utah with a very nice player.

I think it more unlikely GS misses the playoffs. Need a few teams to play very well to move up and for a major injury (Curry or Thompson, IMO) to have GS fall.

Frankly, I'm not all that worried about Sacramento. They made the trade to go after WINS. But then Cousins and/or Gay were out and they lost several games. With those two back, they'll be winning more - not enough to make the playoffs, but I have never gotten the impression they want to tank.

Kings don't worry me too much.

If I had to put money on it, I'd bet on the Lakers finishing with the worst record in the West. Can't believe this is happening.

Couldn't happen to a "better" team. That said, I can see the NBA awarding them the #1 pick. Need to have a big-time talent in such a major media market. Get Wiggins, Kobe comes back, trade a couple of ex-assistants for a decent player, find some obscure NBA rule to help them obtain another star.

You forgot the part about K-Love going there in FA.

everybody thought the lakers where headed straight to the finals with the whole nash, kobe, dwight trio they had going.

That **** fell apart quick.
