14th Tank Platoon

irregardless of the chance at getting the 3rd worst, we need all the losses we can get and bottom line is this was a very lose-able loss.

I'm not saying it's a fact. I'm saying resolutely that that is my opinion. If I didn't have such a string opinion and they moved up, then I came back later and said "I knew it," then that'd be a hindsight bias. What you're suggesting would qualify any opinion of future events to be considered a hindsight bias if it unfolds as predicted. I'll give two examples:

Hindsight bias:

Draft is coming up an John likes players A, B, C and D. He can't decide for certain who he wants his team to draft. He wants to go big with A, get shooting with B or get athleticism with C. He likes D for having a winning attitude but isn't certain if his lack of athleticism will hurt him, so he prefers A and B but really does like D. His team takes A. Four years later, A is out of the league due to foot injuries and D is a coach's selection All-star. He proclaims, "I knew we should have taken D!"

Not a hindsight bias:

Draft is coming up an John likes players A, B, C and D. He is fairly certain who he likes but does appreciate other options too. He has some reservations about taking D for his lack of athleticism, but thinks his winning attitude is too good to pass up. He still really likes A for his size, B for his shooting and C for his athleticism. Despite this, D is his guy. His team takes A. Four years later, A is out of the league due to foot injuries and D is a coach's selection All-star. He proclaims, "I knew we should have taken D!"

So there's a chance Trey Burke becomes a coach's selection all-star? Because he's short, slow and can't shoot. Oh wait, I take that back. If he hits 1 out of 3 shots, but that one shot is in the 4th quarter, nothing else matters.

More I watch Trey play, the more I hope the BPA when the Jazz pick is Smart.

Burke's still trying to figure things out though... Lillard has 2 years on him when he entered in the NBA.

LOL! Comparing D-Lil and Burke is literally like comparing Danny Ferry to Lebron James. D-Lil is bigger, faster, stronger, jumps higher, is far more explosive, longer, and better. The only PG more athletic than D-Lil is maybe Rondo, Tony, or Russel.

Meanwhile, Trey is less athletic than most guards in this league. Trey Burke should just try to be like Jameer Nelson.

What a dip-****. It's irregardlessLY.

I hate language snobs.

Irregardless is a word. The double negative nature of irregardless does not detract from it's utility it enhances it.

Regardless- without regard

Irregardless- absolutely without regard

The way people say the word, often with anger or contempt, is further evidence of this. IR- RE- Gardless

The word has been in use for over 200 years. It communicates it's meaning quite nicely.(which is the best measure of a word) It also has that double rr that is all too often missing or under stressed in English.

So get off your high horse and say "irregardless". It's a damn fine word.
