It reduces the options for divorce - particularly for men.

When I lived in Texas I had a neighbor whose bible thumping wife made him get one because he left his first wife. He was one miserable SOB.

It's only legal in a handful of states - strictly Bible Belt stuff.

That's all great but I am interested in your reasoning behind this. And I am not saying bible is stupid, it just does not make sense from scientific point of view. Same like Greek mythology.
