Uhm, I'm not going there.
Where the **** is a game thread! I know one of you is unemployed or something. Get your *** in gear.
Then he did everything.
I sincerely believe if it was a nine game series we would win by attrition. We have figured things out.
And right on queue, he has 19 in the fourth. One point off, though.
I swallowed my entire shirt when he lobbed that. Especially since that play was so costly in game 3.
Start the game thread again for tonight.
I’m getting the same exact pre-game meal. 4 piece combo at Popeye’s with red beans and rice side, Cajun fries side, a biscuit and a small Dr. Pepper.
I still think we have an outside chance of winning this series but its really hard to beat a team 4 games in a row. Especially a team like Houston who can get really hot for a game. Plus the Jazz can get cold for long periods. Its really too bad we didnt win game 3. That was the game we needed to win to make this a series. We had plenty of chances to win that.
The crazy thing, and what gives me a little hope is that fact that we have yet to shoot at or above our season averages from the field and 3 point line. Even in our win we had below average shooting. To win at Houston we have to have a game where we are hot from shooting. Houston does not have that good of defense. We are getting tons of wide open looks and just not hitting them.
Jazz averaged the 4th most wide open shots from 3 in the league during the regular season and made them at a 38% rate. In the playoffs we are leading the league in wide open 3 point attempts but hitting them at the worst rate of 23%. Rockets are averaging the 2nd most wide open 3 point shots per game in the playoffs but they are hitting them at a 43% rate which is tied with GS for 2nd best in the league. The Rockets in the regular season actually hit their wide open shots at a slightly worse percentage than the Jazz did.
This is by far the biggest factor in this series. If shooting averages work out Jazz are due to be hot and the Rockets are due to cool off. But that does not always work out that way.
I think if Ingles hits a few in a row from 3 it will really open things up for everyone and get the whole team rolling from 3 better. We need that to happen to make a miraculous comeback in this series.
If we win this game 5 I really think we can win game 6. Obviously at that point it comes down to 1 game and who knows.
The funny thing is, if we pushed this to 7, you know the whole league would be rooting for us. Hopefully Adam Silver would be rooting for us, too.
As strange as it sounds I think our best chance of winning this game is to play Rudy less. I think we need to see a lot of Favors at center.
Love their naked chicken strips and green beans.
Based off what I saw from the refs in Game 4, I'm not so sure the NBA wants to see Utah vs GS in Round 2. We gotta go out and win it. We ain't getting help.
I said that before the series. Favors in the post is the best bet against switching defense.
This is the toughest game of the four. Let's ****ing get it. Attack the rim, pound it inside.
Is @Heathme starting the game thread any time soon? Not that I'm superstitious or anything . . .
Bro. We need you to make the game thread. Im not superstitious either ,but just in case.
Should I start one?
Depends - did you start any of them for the first 3 games?
I think the key tonight is to come out with the same energy and game plan, and we got this.
This is about taking their souls before end of the first quarter. Gotta get in their heads. Play the first quarter like its the only quarter of the game.
Go for it - I've got to dash home now.
Yep. Quicker rotations to keep guys fresh if we have to. Absolutely balls to the wall. Contend everything without being stupid. Attack on offense. And hit free throws and keep the turnovers at under 12.
