2011 draft.....

The Wolves will want more than Bell or Tomic to allow us to move up.

How do you know that? Come on their the Timberwolves, they have David Kahn as their GM anything is possible with them. Then What about this trade, Jazz trade the #12 pick and #3 pick to the Timberwolves for the #20 pick and #2 pick.

Jazz get D-Will³ and the #20 pick, T-Wolves get Kanter and the #12 pick.

If they really dont want DWILLII this is more plausible, but a lot of teams will be talking to the TWolves about the 2nd pick. Would this be the best they can get. Also many say they want a vet.

The Jazz can't lose at the 3. They take either Dwill2 or Kanter.

If the wolves trade down past the Jazz' 3rd pick they won't get either so the 3rd pick is why trading with the Jazz is more enticing than someone else. And if they get Bell, who they've said they want, then they pick up that asset. It might be nice to be rid of Bell. I was surprised he didn't do better for the Jazz last year, and then pouted about it. tsk tsk.

But again, the Jazz can't lose. Just draft whoever falls.

If they want a vet how about Jazz get D-Will³ and the #20 pick, T-Wolves get Kanter, Raja Bell, the #12 pick. They want Enes Kanter, they don't want to take him at #2 and they want a veteran or a asset so we trade the #3 pick and Raja Bell or/and Ante Tomic for the #2 pick.

These are the three trades I would be down with between the Jazz and Timberwolves, considering the T-Wolves want to trade down from the #2 pick to a pick or two to get Kanter and some veteran help/pieces while the other team would get D-Will³.

Jazz trade the #12 pick and #3 pick to the Timberwolves for the #20 pick and #2 pick.

Jazz trade Raja Bell and the #3 pick to the Timberwolves for the #2 pick.

Jazz trade Ante Tomic and the #3 pick to the Timberwolves for the #2 pick.

The only downside from getting D-Will³ is the Jazz wouldn't pick Chris Singleton at #12 or he wouldn't be available at #20.

No offense, but why would we trade our 3 and 12 for their 2 and 20. We have a win win with the 3rd pick. We don't need the 2nd pick. Plus, 12 may get us a good player, 20 will probably not.

Yep. 2 or 3, the Jazz still get one of the top players in this draft.
And I think a good player will still be there at 20, but more options will be there at 12.

Actually, I am in the minority here, but I think the Jazz should draft Brandon Knight at #3 regardless if Enes Kanter is available or not. Now if D-Will³ is available that is a different story and the Jazz should definitely draft him if he falls to #3.

History repeats itself, Derrick Rose, Tyreke Evans, John Wall, and now Brandon Knight. I am not saying Knight is on the other three guys level, but I do believe he will be in a year or two. All of John Callipari's recent point guards have been great nba players, Rose and Evans won rookie of the year and Wall was the runner-up this year next to Blake Griffin.

All four of these guys had their weaknesses coming out of collge:

Derrick Rose - Needed to develop an outside shot

Tyreke Evans - Was a tweener is he a point guard or a shooting guard?

John Wall - Needed to develop an outside shot

Brandon Knight - Needs to gain weight and some more muscle

I think, barring a trade down, we'll be drafting either D-Will (if he slips) or Kanter. With our second pick in the lottery - who knows? I could see us drafting a PG with the second pick if we draft D-Will or Kanter with the first...

You are so spinless. Negging me just hours ago for liking knight over kanter. You bring some weak *** **** bro.

I'm in the Kanter > Knight camp but it can feel sometimes like I'm in the minority. It's probably pretty even. I'm aware of many Knight supporters, so don't feel too lonely. And while it's true what you say about Calipari's PGs, Calipari said he'd draft Kanter number 1. So that seems significant, although some still disregard it.
