2012 Draft: Predraft Camps & Workouts

Maggs with 8.9 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 3.17 steals per game and a 3.17 A:TO ratio...12.7 points per on 49.3% from the floor and 43% from downtown (100 attempts total)...80.2% from the line...great numbers all the way around...looks quick but looks like a high school kid and clearly needs to get stronger at 6'1", 160 pounds...good numbers...not sure there's room for a point guard on the roster unless it's a clear future starter.

I will be highly surprised if he gets invited to a training camp. He just looks so small. He does seem to have really good passing instincts though, and a pretty shot. Looks like a European player.

He worked out for the Memphis Grizzlies though, so maybe he got a good review and that is why the Jazz wanted to bring him in.

Agreed. He needs to gain a minimum of 15 pounds and probably more like 20-25 pounds of muscle. He'd be nothing more than a project for at least two years. I think. Who knows though. Sports is beautiful like that. Every once in a while, there is a player who defies the odds and not only makes a team but excels.

It would make for a good story. His highlights were fun to watch even though the defense was at times atrociously bad.

I saw some very Dragic-eske moves in there. Very intriguing prospect. I could easily see the Jazz giving the rest if the league a finger and bring him into camp.

Two hopeful tweets:

Jazz GM Kevin O'Connor on trading into the first round of the draft: "Just because we're quiet doesn't mean we're not working. ...

More O'Connor: "... We're talking to a lot of people about a lot of things."

Magette & Evans the new and much much thinner Stockton to Malone.

Has an iggy for Al trade ever been discussed?

There was a guy on realGM on the 76ers page who claims to be an insider to the organization (everyone there believes him)
He said that a Big Al + Watson for Iggy deal was in the works. Not sure if it's happened or if we have any updates, but it was probably the most exciting thing to happen this offseason other than Dee Bost working out.

I feel like I am always getting "one upped" around here.

Hot damn, not too shabby. Those passes are real sweet, reminds me of Nash's bounce passes.
But you guys are right, he definately doesn't look like an NBA PG, looks tiny out there. Needs to gain wieght. The NBA PG's are starting to get real big nowadays.

Aside from that, he's got the PG's arsenal of weapons on his hand. Floater, 3 pointer, good looking shot and FT %, incredible passing skills.
