After a game like last night this have moved off the front page?
I dislike the Red Sox, but that was a gnarly grand slam.

As soon as Pedroia got that hit, I told my wife "Ortiz will now tie it up". I wish the Dodgers could get a clutch hit.

Not having Hanley in the lineup really killed them the other night. The Cardinals simply pitched around Gonzalez.
Figured Ortiz was gonna do that as well, it just seemed so Red Sox-ish

And so Benoit-ish.

Another great pitching performance last night. The Cardinal defense, not so much but I'm not crying. Unlike Carlos Beltran.

It's the next day and I'm still asking "How in the name of **** do you get picked off second when your team is down 2 and you're not going to steal?"

Frickin' Punto.

Yup.

Cards are a different kind of team in the post season. Puig has collided with that rookie wall. Injuries have played a small part in the Dodgers woes and the Dodgers are just not clutch.

I'd say with Ramirez and Ethier going at about 70% at most, injuries have played a big part in their woes, but when they have given up a total of 7 runs, 6 earned, through 4 games, being down 3-1 is pathetic. Maybe it just seems like it, but it appears that every time they have a rally going, Mark Ellis comes to the plate and immediately takes two grooved fastballs to dig an 0-2 hole. Swing the damn bat!

Then again, I like their chances any time Greinke or Kershaw take the mound. Get to Game 7 and see what happens.

Hanley is always injured, or a bitch.

Should be close games because Kershaw and Greinke are as good as it gets, besides maybe Verlander and Scherzer.

Why was Carlos Marmol pitching the other night? And he was throwing 95-96. The last time he did that for the Cubs was like three years ago.
