I recommend listening to today's Ip Off. Locke gives a lot of info/highlights/concerns so far in practices:

Talks about Gordon being really agressive, Jeremy htting a 3, Favors cattching the ball at free-throw and laying it up w/o dribble, and Trey slowing the team down in a very negative way.

I don't doubt it either. (About Trey)

I'm in the camp of hand him the keys and let him learn, and loved him in college, but the summer league was a huge turn off. I'm really concerned that Trey could bust. I really hope he doesn't though.

The negative Trey thing he was talking about was just his lack of pushing it up the court. Like, that he was used to a 35 second shot clock. Locke was all like "I don't know if he'll ever figure it out"... I'm thinking, yeah right... this guy hasn't even played a preseason game yet. He'll get used to the shot clock

Locke went on to explain that it is a product of the way Michigan played. How college ball gives them more than 24 seconds. Trey has some learning to adjust to the NBA game but the struggle is reasonable.

Yes, this is all true. I'm not bashing the kid. Just relaying a quick message to get people to listen. Didn't really feel like transcribing it all.

However, the 24 second shot clock was an issue in SL as well; so it isn't like this is his third day of NBA practice ever and he hasn't had a clue. This was the critique the coaches had for him in SL, and it is vital to him fitting in on the team.

You are right that he does need to figure it out. I'm confident he will

I'm rooting for him. How he performs, and what kind of player he decides to be (an assist guy, or a seek his own shot guy) will largely dictate how and how much the rest of the team develops. His remarks after the Stockton trip helped to soften me towards him.

I have to admit. I'm gonna be a little nervous for Trey and how the season starts. If its anything like the summer league, it could be a disaster.
