This has been the best Jazz season in a while. In my morning scripture study, I came across this verse:

"And it came to pass, the basketball gods giveth jazzfandom MaxMoneyGordon, and his apparent greatness. Second, The Good King Derrick has risen from his sanctuary of silence to become #TheFirstBlockBrother. Third, it bringeth the arrisal of The Mighty Warrior Coach Quin, with his death glare. Fourth, and verily most exciting, Rudy The Destroyer has escaped the bonds of Ty and risen to his glory as the savior of Jazzfanz. All this has come to pass because Jazzfanz humbled themselves, and turned to the sacred #rallychurro, as it were the staff of Moses in the wilderness of NBA lottery doom."

I appreciate the optimism, but the Jazz should focus on a more immediate goal like getting to .500. That requires 11 more wins. Anything after that helps the cause, and then let nature take its course with the other teams.

Phoenix is going to crash and burn IMO, OKC has major injury issues (but two star players) and NO has a star (but is a hot mess besides him). I don't think either team finishes with less than 43-44 wins. That will be tough to overcome.

Jazz need to focus on one game at a time. Dropping three games after the break by a combined 8 points is encouraging even if it keeps them out of the playoffs. The Jazz need some coffee if they want to take the next step.

I bought a rally churro but then I ate it. So later I shall have a rally turd.

I agree. I think #rallychurro may need to come back for next season. With the loss last night, Jazz must go 15-0 and the Thunder must do no better than 7-7 just to tie them. And, to be honest, if it were just about the Jazz winning all those games, I would still be on board. I am really high on the team winning a lot of games to close out the season despite last night's loss. But needing other teams to lose so many games makes it too hard.

You make great points. As it is, I'll root for the Jazz to make the playoffs until they're mathematically eliminated because, why not?

As will I!

Although we may need to send someone with a #rallybillyclub to the OKC games to make it happen at this point. :)

a while back, maybe around the all star break DJ and PK were talking about when Quin will have a career .500 winning %. PK claimed next December he could see it happening and DJ thought end of the season next year or something like that. It's crazy that a few weeks later and it has a shot of happening before the season ends.

I ate a churro at the game last night.

#rallychurro has yet to bring good fortune, so I might skip it next game.
