Well. That would....be....aaaaa....I don't even know.

I believe Kyle is gone, for sure.

To see him at BYU in any capacity is just unbelievable to me. He and Holmoe have a very good relationship. But he and Bronco is another matter.

To see Whit at BYU would most likely mean that Bronco is gone. Now, I can't imagine Bronco being fired this year. HOWEVER, I do keep hearing rumors from Twitter and from "the football underground" (high school coaches and friends of BYU) here in Utah county that Bronco is exploring options. This year more than ever Bronco's employment seems up in the air.

Personally, I can't picture Bronco moving on this year. I cannot utterly cannot see Whit moving taking his talents to Provo. He would take a massive pay cut and then have to deal with all the missionary, honor code, and independence crap that comes with BYU.

However, I cannot believe how many rumors there are right now that Bronco is leaving. At least it creates for interesting stories of a possible Whittingham takeover at BYU.

I would be beyond stunned if he ever ended up at BYU again. However, I would relay enjoy all of the Y fans who have hated on him at every turn for the last 20+ years now worshipping at his feet.

And if you're listening Dr. Chris Hill: If you really let Whitt walk away, the only way you come out of this not looking like a boob is if Dan Mullens comes walking through that door.

I for one never hated on whitt and never worshipped bronco (actually not a big fan of bronco at all)

I don't really get too excited about coaches one way or the other.

I refuse to believe Hill is going to let him walk unless he's positive he can pull a fast one and get somebody like Mullens. If he doesn't have that ace up his sleeve, why even risk it?

I agree.

I see whit working as a DC somewhere. I don't see him going to BYU. Not until they're in a p5 conference at least. Then maybe. Ande let's be honest, he could probably get a job in the NFL too. Making a job at BYU even less attractive.

I guess I'm a Y fan and other than whit's decision making in the OC hires, I have no problem with him. He's a good guy who doesn't have SEC like issues, recruits good kids, plays tough defense, always has a top special team, and wins the right way.
Seriously, if he had just been normal with the offensive hiring, you're looking at one of the top coaches in the entire west. Defensive and special teams genius, good recruiter, solid guy... Terrible offensive decision maker.

If Kyle Whittingham looked at byu for even a second with the shape they are in, Holmoe pees his pants before even being able to offer him a contract.

Bronco is an absolute non factor in the thought process if somehow Whitt is willing to slum it at byu.
