2014 College Football

I won't pretend to know a whole lot about Utah football but.....

Wasn't Travis Wilson thought of to be a pretty talented dude, but it turns out, at best, he is only somebody who can be a game manager for a good defense/run game? Dude looked pretty mediocre to me for the most part for the 2nd half (the only part of the game I watched).

Kind of reminds me of Bo Wallace, an obviously talented QB, but someone who is far too inconsistent to be trusted to win games from his play and is better off just playing it safe for the majority of the game but has the talent to occasionally pull off a late drive if needed?

Also it's crazy how evenly matched the entire NCAA is this year. Utah could sneak into the playoffs if they keep pulling off wins with the way the major conferences are splitting wins across the board.

How much will Utah move up the rankings since pretty much every ranked team won this week?

Considering that they are also one of the only teams to defeat a ranked team this week?

You also have 24 ranked LSU beating 3rd ranked Ole Piss.

Utah going to be 15? That is what I would guess.

The committee will be coming out with their rankings this week. I wouldn't be surprised to see them stray from the AP. My guess would be.

1-MSU
2-Fl st
3-Oregon
4-TCU
5-Notre Dame
6-Auburn
7-Ole Miss
8-Alabama
9-Michigan St
10-Kansas St
11-Baylor
12-Georgia
13-Arizona
14-Arizona St
15-Utah
16-Ohio St
17-LSU
18-Nebraska
19-Oklahoma
20-Clemson
21-West Virginia
22-East Carolina
23-Marshall
24-UCLA
25-BYU LOL

Lmfao, what a brutal season it must be as a Zoob fan.

Your team is a flaming bag of ****, while your biggest rival is now a 6-1 team in the PAC-12.

I think it has a lot to do with the play calling. Their defense and special teams have been so good, and their receivers have been so suspect to drops that it makes it hard to be aggressive with the offensive play calling. That said when this game was on the line and the team needed something, a game manager does not make plays like that. A game manager loses games like that because of lack of ability to make plays. They put this game in Travis' hands and he pulled it out.
.
He made no major mistakes in the game, played a smart game overall. Fit the ball into some tight spots and made the big plays when needed. He may not be a top 5 QB in the Pac12 but you can't just categorize him as a game manager. At least IMO.
.
On top of that if his surrounding cast does not make major mistakes this game very well could have been a blowout win for the Utes.
