"Forget that Arkansas has never won the SEC, or that Monday marks the two-year anniversary of the Razorbacks' last conference victory: Oct. 13, 2012. The Hogs defeated Kentucky that day and have since lost 15 consecutive league games through Saturday's 14-13 almost-win against Alabama.

"Yet, Arkansas received 10 points in Sunday's Associated Press poll, which extrapolates nationally to No. 34.

"Such is the power of the SEC West."

What's truly funny, is that SEC fans are so stupid, they'll read this and think the article is complimenting them. Lol.

Pettway, kicked off the team in 2013 for his involvement in a robbery and assault so brutal one of the assailants believed the victim dead until they gave his lifeless body an investigative kick. As the article states, "[Head coach Nick] Saban said he was satisfied with the way he handled his punishment: 11 months of what amounted to exile at a junior college in Scooba, Mississippi." The victim, as a result of the vicious attack, contemplated suicide and dropped out of school.

"Not high-profile enough? Consider the treatment of the starting quarterback opposite Winston in last year's national championship game, Nick Marshall, who was cited in July for possession of a small amount of marijuana, a violation of a city ordinance. Auburn imposed a half-game suspension, drawing no criticism, while Winston received the same penalty over a publicly shouted obscenity – not a crime – and earned this line from ESPN's Mark Schlabach: "How many strikes does Winston get before he goes from being a foolish, immature college student to a complete knucklehead who can't be trusted?" Shortly thereafter, Winston's suspension was expanded to a full game.

"In early 2012, Marshall was also dismissed from the University of Georgia after he was caught stealing from a teammate. You would think that, like Winston, his missteps would follow him into every broadcast. But you'd be wrong."

"Three SEC teams have yet to record a conference win, going a combined 0-13 so far in league play. Five of the conference's teams are .500 or worse. Tennessee hasn't turned in a winning season since Obama's first year in office. Florida has won just seven of its last 19 games. LSU, South Carolina and Texas A&M haven't lived up to preseason expectations, and Arkansas is Vanderbilt now."

That's funny. PKM calls me a retard for saying the exact same thing three different articles say. LOL.

SEC homers are so clueless, it's actually funny.

There is a simple SEC formula:

- Don't schedule any non-conference foes, or schedule them, then bitch out like Alabama has done repeatedly.
- Only play 8 conference games, and make sure that out of those 8 conference games, don't load any one team with more than 2-3 tough conference games.
- Schedule a late season **** team, right before your big game, to give you a week off.
- Pound your chest and act like you're the ****s. (see Mississippi State).

LOL. Impressed. Big time.

What's funny, is that the SEC is .500 since 2000 vs the PAC-12.

Whats even sadder, is Tennessee is the only team in the SEC with any balls.

But I guess when you are Alabama and get your *** kicked by a lowly MWC Utah team...I'd be scared to leave the deep south as well.

this one is about media bias in polls by comparing ranking and metrics.
totally supports Green's argument too. the best part about it though is that the team that benefits from the greatest bias in the whole country is not an SEC team.
it's Utah.

I have no problem with that article. I've said 100 times that the 2008 Utah team didn't deserve to play for a national title. They hadn't proven enough during the season for that right. Also, mid majors always receive more pub than they deserve. I've argued this for years. You give Colorado Marshall's schedule, and Colorado is unbeaten right now as well. You give Utah BYU's schedule the last two years, and Utah wins 10+ games every year, instead of 5.

That being said, Utah does not benefit from any bias this year, and in fact is hurt by it. Utah is the worst ranked one loss P5 team in the country. No benefit there, like you are claiming.

Nice try though.

Compare Utah to LSU, Nebraska, Ohio State Baylor and show me how those teams have done more to this point.

Utah has had a tougher schedule by a LONG shot than Ohio State, Baylor and Nebraska. Baylor has a better loss, but a much easier schedule.

That squeaker by Nebraska over McNees State...shows Nebraska's strength. Oh, and when Utah played a top 10 team...Utah won.

Yeah, Ohio State lost their QB in their loss, but it's not like Utah hasn't been ravished by injuries (and for you BYU fans, suck it up, everyone has injuries). Utah has lost arguably their best defensive player (Carter), Gionni Paul missed multiple games, Utah lost their best CB (Porter), their starting C, their best LB coming into the year (Hale) and the list goes on. Yet, Utah keeps winning.

So, show me where Utah has gotten this huge jump in the polls due to "bias".

Please.

I fail to see why you feel the need to go out of your way to make the comparison. Do you see a lot of Ute fans in here wringing their hands over Dres' absence? Do you run into a lot of Ute fans in Mississippi who are freaking out over the loss of Dres?

Fact of the matter is, Utah lost their leading WR. Time to move on without him. Either Utah will have a guy step up and fill the void, or they won't. Not much else to say about it, but thank you for keeping Utah in your thoughts.
