We already have Kanter though who will probably average 20 and 10, I'd rather not draft another one of him.

That is the reason I asked. I have not seen a guaranteed superstar draft pick since LaBron. Durante, Paul, Griffin and others were drafted all-stars with hard work could become superstars, As they did. Wiggins, Parker, and Embiid are in the same boat. Is their a Kobe, Tony Parker, John Stockton, or a Malone out there? Someone you could get with the fifth or twelfth pick plus get another all-star, instead of a potential all-star and a role player. Is it worth the risk? If Orlando had the fourth pick it would be worth looking at. I think Exum could be the real deal
 
Im totally flip flopping here, but the more i have thought about it i have come to the conclusion that if we have the 2nd or 3rd pick then we have to take jabari or embiid regardless of embiid back problems or jabaris weight.

If we want a championship then we need a hall of fame, top 50 player of all time type of guy on our team and this draft, with a top 3 pick (please lottery gods) is our best chance to get him.

I feel pretty confident that smart, randle, vonleh, and gordon will be good players and start in the nba for a lot of years.... I also feel confident that none of them will be hall of famers.

With embiid, wiggins, parker, and to a lesser extent exum, i am not confident that those guys wont be hall of fame type players.

Jazz need to swing for the fences in this draft.

I feel wierd and dumb saying that the jazz should pass on a guy like randle (who im confident will be a good player) for a guy like embiid that may end up like oden or a guy like exum that could go the way of darko.......... but that is the situation that the jazz are in i think. Gotta go for the homerun

The way I look at it is that GS should have been MUCH better. So Utah is getting a #23 instead of a #27. There is a very good group in the teens and into the 20's. I'm confident Jazz can get a very good player at #23, or use the #35 to move up. Besides, I'm still holding to my theory the Jazz have a trade lined up. The idea has been floated by Rigby once and Lindsey twice. Where there's smoke...
 
With as fun as it is to imagine all of these players on the Jazz, I don't envy DL's position. There are 4-5 players that could end up being superstars and 10-12 players that could end up being very good. Most have question marks, and have the chance to bust (in terms of not being an elite player). I hope he ends up making the right decision, or at least not making the wrong one.
