I actually watched that game. What's not evident from those stats is the fact that he now has a pretty sweet stroke as well too (something Gobert doesn't yet have).


He's gonna be scary good in a couple of years.

I'd still take Gobert 10/10 times. I love that Whiteside is a two-way player, but Gobert has a bigger impact on the game. Whiteside gets more blocks, but Gobert is flat out better at stopping the opponent from scoring, as advanced stats show. Also, let's not forget that Gobert is three years younger than Whiteside. I'm sure that Gobert will be perfectly capable of averaging 12 PPG (what Whiteside averages) three years from now.

Was such a disappointing game. Cleveland's not on the same level as GS and SA; they don't display synergy as a unit.

Let's face it though they're build for the playoffs not the regular season... they WILL be competitive in a 7 game series against GSW in June but not right now.

I wouldn't pencil in GS to be in the Finals. Spurs are crazy good.
