2015 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

Think about this dynamic and chemistry.

You have to double Shaq and Curry just to get the ball out of their hands to try and stop them.

How would you stop that combination?

Pick your poison. Either get dunked on your head all night, or have threes raining down all night. And it will most likely be both as you scramble to try and stop either one.
Lol. That's how it is for pretty much anyone in the first 5 or 6 rounds to be honest. Hell. Even Stockton needs to be doubled and harassed or he carves u up with assist after assist.

Hell, look at my team. U can't double Stockton Durant and Wilt. Wilt and Durant are dangerous enough as it is with out Stockton threading pass after pass leading to easy shots for both Wilt and Durant. Most teams will have the same dynamic.

Isiah "Zeke" Thomas

One of Thomas' most inspiring and self-defining moments came in Game 6. Although he had severely sprained his ankle late in the game, Thomas continued to play. While hobbling and in obvious pain, Thomas scored 25 points in a single quarter of the game, an NBA Finals record

The Bad Boys pulled out all the stops in the playoffs, sweeping Boston in three games and Milwaukee in four to reach the Conference Finals against rival Chicago. Despite a great effort from the Bulls' Michael Jordan, Detroit won in six games and advanced to meet the Lakers in the NBA Finals. Los Angeles, though dominant throughout the decade, was ill-prepared for the series. In his last season, 42-year-old center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was ineffective and guards Magic Johnson and Byron Scott were slowed by hamstring injuries. The overpowering Pistons swept the Lakers for their first-ever NBA title.

Yeah I certainly would hate it if everybody just picks BPA without considering chemistry. I remembered last year QSH stated in the first page that "Chemistry is a MUST".

That's what make these contests unique.... Sure you want to win, but only 1 person can do that. I think it's more interesting seeing how other people construct their teams and the way they see how the game of basketball should be played.

This is fun part for sure. It's early in the draft yet so you can't really tell, but it's fun to see each pick and imagine how it effects their team-building going forward. Some really fun looking teams so far (Magic/Barkley), and some that look straight up terrifying (Bird/Hakeem)

This is really the foundation of my approach. Take my first 2 picks. Isiah is a driving slashing guard with range and a fierce competitor. He just wants to win. LeBron is, of course, LeBron. Put him and Isiah and almost anyone else around them and you have a defensive and offensive foundation that is capable of huge scoring outbursts. LeBron is a FAR upgraded version of Dumars, if you think of it in terms of the Pistons championship teams. 2 of the best 2 way players in the game. Both play well with and without the ball, and imagine what the current Cavs team would have been if all you did was add Isiah. Isiah and LBJ playing off each other, and shutting down key folks on the other end of the court? Awesome.

Edit: oops, forgot we weren't supposed to talk strategy. But hey, really I am talking philosophy, not strategy, nor tactics. So there ya go.

With the 23rd pick in the 2015 Annual JazzFanz All-Time Draft, White Chocolate selects..

Allen Iverson.

Write up will come later. Ellis is on the clock with two consecutive picks.

Damn good pick. Though he's not thought of as very highly on jazzfanz. We know what Iverson can do on a team of scrubs imagine what he could do on a team of all timers. I thought he'd last till the fourth round. Good pick though. He should go in the second round.

I will update with more detailed write-ups later. . .

#24 Ellis269ers select

SF: Scottie Pippen

Great picks Ellis

It was a great idea to team up Scottie and Jordan. No one ever gets that chance usually.

You might really have a chance at winning this.

It's like with Stockton and Malone. If you can pair the two up then your argument gets stronger.

One Love OTC.

There are still a number of great players that I'm surprised fell this far.
