2015 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

It's true. And there weren't as much side pieces as he makes it sound. Those were the two main pieces.

The worst part of the trade is its a keeper league.
Westy is untradable is keeper lgs imo, never get fair value for a guy like that

^^ Under-selling D-Will. At one point, which is what is relevant to this draft, he was the best PG in a PG-heavy league. He was better than Paul, who was picked in 3rd round.

Steal of the draft.

It wasn't straight up. Multiple picks and players were involved.

Westbrook was injured and I had one of the best teams in the league. Thomas was putting up crazy stats in Sacramento at the time (continued to put up better stats during teh fantasy playoffs). I basically sold some of my future to "win now". Shortly after a few more of my players got injured also and I couldn't go far in the playoffs. Had my team stayed healthy after the trade, I could have easily won.

It's not as black and white as 'HOLY CRAP YOU TRADED WESTBROOK FOR THOMAS!!!".

And how did that work our for you? Did you win? No.

Here are the facts.

Over the 3 years the league has been around, I have won $550 dollars, and Cy has lost $150.

I've taken 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Cy has never placed and has never won any money. Basically I'm taking money out of his wallet and putting it mine based off knowing math and a little bit a basketball.

But yet, Cy is always telling me how stupid I am. Well Cy, if stupid keeps paying me with your money, then fine by me.

There was also Kendall Marshall who was putting up 9+ assist per game.

There was somebody else who I can't remember.

It's fantasy basketball, it's about accumulating stats.

Isiah Thomas had nearly the same production as healthy Westbrook that year, so I basically traded 0 production from an injured Westbrook for somebody who puts up slightly worse stats, an assist specialist, and another player I cant remember.

You drafted Anthony Davis.

Literally the only good thing you've done and it carries you. Congrats.

It's funny, because Cy was ranting about D-Will and he was my #2 target for 97 - behind Chauncy Billups - because I needed a modern PG to plug in behind Payton. I know a lot of people are still pissed at Deron, but the Jazz aren't what they are now without 2010 happening the way it did.

I can appreciate what he could do before the injuries started taking their toll, but this is about where he should go in this thing IMO. Feeling pretty good to get a player of this caliber just inside the top 100.

Win now.

Plus, if Thomas had actually stayed in Sacramento I wasnt looking at that much statistical fall off the following year.

Pick #97 - Deron Williams

3× NBA All-Star (2010–2012)
2× All-NBA Second Team (2008, 2010)
NBA All-Rookie First Team (2006)
NBA Skills Challenge champion (2008)
Consensus second-team All-American (2005)

He has the length, shooting and scoring that I need to help stretch a defense, plus he's just enough of a facilitator to get the ball to my other athletes and let them do something with it. Good fit for my team off the bench behind Payton with an emphasis on offense.

Your team sucked before, but now it's good. He should start over Payton as your team already has enough defensive players. Needs someone who can shoot a little bit and pass.

I remember another part of the trade, I got the guy's 1st round pick in the re-draft, which I used to draft Jimmy Butler.

What league is that? Sounds like fun.

You didn't watch Payton much did you? Or is this a sudden burst of sarcasm?
