So. I made a trade the other day with WC in which I traded for George Gervin in order to make the trade I also had to take Bob Pettit. I didn't really want him, because I didn't know much about him or his playing style. Did some research on him to get an idea of how I would fit him into my game plan.
I was presently surprised. I've come away thinking that Rodman was a very poor mans Bob Pettit. I found a very good video showing a ton of his highlights with him as an old man talking about his game. Very informative.

Some highlights.
Was a very good rebounder. Said he would get 7-8 points a game off offensive rebounds alone.
He talked about being the type of player that came into the with only an inside game but developed a very good jumpshot. Said had they had a three point line back then it would've been a part of his game. Very interesting.
Twice he led the league in scoring and rebounding and made the allstar every year and shared MVP honors with Baylor and won one of six title opportunities vs Russell. But not sure anyone had even a 500 record vs Russell.
Also talked about not understanding how he gets talked about more as one of the top forwards to play in the NBA but he knows he's one of the very best.
I do believe he can fill an important roll in my game plan and can play both the 3 and 4 equally as effective as the other.
Thanks WC for making me take him in that trade. Iceman and Pettit for Rice and Artest is a fantastic steal in my favor.
