2015 Annual JazzFanz Current Players Draft

Too early maybe, but I think he's going to have a really big jump this year. He's bigger, more aggressive (hopefully) and Exum and Rudy will start from the very beginning of the season.

He won't be starting in this endeavor, and he gives me a defensive stopper at the PG position to bring in behind Dragic. Not sure if anyone would have nabbed him between now and my next pick, but there's been 3 times in this draft that the guy I really wanted went one or two picks in front of me.

He's the only PG left that I liked the idea of sliding Dragic to 2 in small ball lineups. I have a lot of guys left at other positions that I'm high on, but my PG list was getting thin.

Roy Hibbert

Hibbert's ability to alter shots without fouling is an asset that any team—no matter the style of play—can use. Last season (2014/15) Hibbert ranked fourth in defensive field-goal percentage around the rim (minimum five attempts per game), according to NBA.com's player tracking data. (Gobert Ranked #1)

The Pacers tried to push the tempo by featuring more small-ball lineups and up-and-down play, and they still maintained their top-tier defense with the league's 7th best defensive rating. With top-tier defender George Hill missing a big chunk of the season as well (George played 42 games), this was a pretty stunning accomplishment and Hibbert was a significant part of that.

Thee jazz fan selects JJ Redick

J.J. Redick has not had much peace in his NBA life. He entered the league as a college icon, the most hated Duke player of all time (and that's saying something). He struggled to get playing time early in his career with the Magic, especially after Stan Van Gundy took over. There was talk that he might not make it, that he was upset with his playing time, that he wanted a trade.

But instead, Redick decided to go all-in. He committed himself to defense, earned his playing time, and eventually became one of the most feared weapons on an Orlando team that was legitimately elite for about three seasons (2009-11).

Stats for the 2014-15 season.

16.4 pts. 2.1 rebs. 1.8 asts. 47%fg. 43%3pt. 90%ft.

Redick is on of the elite of the elite and feared 3pt shooters in the NBA. (5th in 3pt% and 3pts made along with a .583% effective FG% 3rd in the NBA in 2014-15 season) I feel I need an elite shooter to go with my two studs, Wall and Cousins Redick will allow Wall and Cousins room to drive and dominate in the post not a guy u want to leave open, and teams must be aware of where he is at all times. Redick is also not just a spot up guy. Very good shooter off the dribble and catch and shoot and very good getting open shots on pick'n roll situations.
