Diagnosing a torn ACL doesn't require a MRI necessarily. They'll do a Lachman test and an anterior drawer test and be able to tell pretty easily if the ACL is shredded beef.

Hoping it's a hyper extension, but the knee buckling backwards with that kind of torque screams ACL.

I don't think these conference finals are going to suck. Atlanta is going to bounce back. Will it be enough? Probably not. But let's be honest, How often is JR Smith going to shoot like Larry Bird? If he had just made 4 three pointers Atlanta wins. If he's going to shoot like that then not even the 96 Bulls could stop Cleveland this year.

JR had a career night. That's all there is to it.
