...best "ball denial" I've seen in YEARS! Got to give the little creep credit! He did his job and then some! The big Polish fellow wrecked havoc, too! Those GS guys were so tired trying to box him out that it frustrated them to no end!

I think role players just get scared tbh and defer way too much ,slowing the game down.

(And of the teams has 2 of their top 3 offensive players out with injury).

I genuinely believe that the Warriors win this game if Kyrie is healthy. Delly's defense on Curry did more for Cleveland than what Kyrie in all likelihood could've provided offensively.

We haven't seen the best of Curry this series yet.

....well, I hope not, Hack! Curry was absolutely TURRIBLE tonight! Forced a ton of shots, threw the ball ALL over the place! Played turrible defense! Looked like a clown from the AND1 League!

Nope. Irving would play Pylon-D all series long. Blessing in disguise having Delly out there acting like Ron Harper 2.0, hitting clutch FTs better than the king himself.

....you are wise beyond your years! ABSOLUTELY right! Delly's defense of ball denial against Curry frustrated him so badly that when he DID finally get the ball, he forced EVERY shot he took into one of the worse shooting performance in NBA Finals history! 2-15 from 3 point range with a couple of air balls thrown in! Lebron had a triple double.....but Delly and the big Polish guy were the real MVP's!

His injury probably would've caught up to him sooner or later in the series, but for Game 1 it didn't seem to be a factor. He had a great game even by healthy Irving standards.

wow. what a game.

....is was a "wow" game alright....one of the worse if not THE worse played Finals game in NBA history! Cleveland shot 32% from the field....and WON the game! Lebron was 11-34, that's 30%.....and they think HE won the game? The two best players on the court with highest plus/minus ratings were Delly and the big Polish guy! The game was virtually UNWATCHABLE for long stretches of time! I've seen better shooting at YMCA games! Most living HOF guys were puking there guts out having to watch the putrid shot selection of both teams! The score ended up close....but the product was pathetically flawed to the 10th degree!
