2016-17 Hype Train Playoff Chase!!!

I wonder how Favors is doing. I hope the time off really helped him and he can get back to at least 80-90% full strength by the playoffs. 100% seems impossible at this point but who knows.

I have not read anything to suggest he is anything other than fine. Full participant in all practices.

His condition is treatable by rest. He'll likely be good for a game or two now that he's had 1 week off and then we'll see his production drop to 5-3 within a week or so until he's removed from the line up.

How do you know this?

Rockets won but the Clippers are going to lose. We could be in sole possession of the 4th seed again tommorow with a win.

I think every injury is treatable by rest. It was really a bold statement by Stifle.
A lot of injuries require surgery. I answered a question. The point being, there's really no "cure." It's not something that can be fixed with a scope and 4 weeks later he'll be 100%. Or like a torn ACL that's going to cost him a year. Favs will be dealing with this the rest of the season and maybe the rest of his career.

Everything takes rest to heal. You dont just have surgery and you are miraculously healed. And even after you sat out the allotted time before you can come back, you arent full healthy, you have to work to get back to shape and get use to playing. We really dont know enough about w/e Favors has to say anything definitive. He has gotten better gradually this season though. I dont see it as some lost hope like you obviously do. And I imagine the Jazz dont either or they would have traded him.

That's obvious, Cy, that you need post-op time to recover. Favs hasn't gotten much better gradually. He's had 3-4 very good games, then regresses. Look at his 20-10 game against Atlanta. He's followed that up by squat.

We'll see if the same pattern follows. He's rested, the knee should be feeling better. But as he runs and puts stress on it, the weakness will return. It's an overuse injury.
